To the rest of you - do you know anyone who got dresses off these websites? I don't want to order and then get a dress that is extremely cheap looking or poorly sewn!

I don't have anyone that has gotten married so no, but they are the same dresses the designers make and sell in say David's Bridal. Besides, they take returns if nothing else. You'd have plenty of time to order, recieve and return and find another if something were to happen, you've got 2 years

I got mine for under 100....not bad looking... dan likes it, does need alterarations...but i have a friend who can do it cheap.

FMS... did you have any problems with DB? I always come on the site to hear about horror stories about the service and such!

You usually have problems with DB In stores, Everyone says to try the dress on in the stores and order it online, then take it somewhere else for alterations

Beware, the knock off dress will be made of cheap fabric. But if that doesn't matter to you, hey go for it!

Got mine at Romanticgowns.com, and love it. RG is the online site for a larger bridal chain in Ohio. I ordered according to my measurements, and my dress is a little large, but nothing that a local seamstress can't handle. They have a large selection, carried some of the better known designer names, and also have their own "label". My dress pic from the website is on my IB board.

I got mine in store at davids bridal for 99 bucks. I love it. If you aren't comfortable buying on line for fear of not liking it (I personally couldn't buy a wedding dress online) or for whatever reasons. You have time..watch for sales..db does an awesome 99 dollar sale and discounts hugely on other dresses. DB experiences vary store to store and associate to associate. I personally had a great experience with DB. Go to bridal shops and get dresses that were used as floor models or whatever..I'm guessing those are discounted. I'd look around if you aren't comfortable buying online just yet..you have plenty of time.

On this site you buy used dresses from the people who used the dress. I dont know anyone who actually bought anything from it but it looks like a good site, and i was going to get a bridesmaid dress from there.
