I find the ceremony program essential for following along but definitely not a necessary expense. Again I would be better off using that money for another expense.

I don't believe ceremony programs are necessary but they do make some nice keepsakes for those that like keepsake. I have an aunt who live for keepsakes so, I know to send her one.

Unless the ceremony has religious elements that guests need to follow along with, they aren't necessary, nor do people miss them. In general, people get the gist of how a ceremony goes: bride walks in, vows and rings exchanged, the couple kisses and walks out.

However, you can list music selections, any readings, the attendants, trivia about the bride and groom. You could even list the cocktail hour menu since most people don't know what their options are until they get there and sometimes not even then. Be prepared for alot of them to be left behind or tossed.

We are doing a program board type thing where guest can see the plan, but we aren't printing out individual programs.
