When I first looked at that number I said to myself wow!! But pp are saying they paid similar. Im not trying to brag but I am paying $1950 for 150 people. It would have been $60 less if I hadnt added drinks (non alcoholic)

Depends what you’re getting for it! We paid about $6500 for 100 people but that did not include drinks or cake

We're having a buffet style dinner plus hors d'oeuvre with 100 ppl including dj, photo/videograpgher and officiant. And it's around 11,500 but since we've added 20 more it'll prob be closer to 12,000. Plus we're going to be on the beach on Orange Counties wealthiest city, so that plays a factor.

That comes out to $58/person which is a great price! It Feels like a lot because most people don’t pay for 160 meals at once.

If you want to lower costs, consider decreasing headcount or choosing a lower level of catering service. Maybe buffet or serve yourself instead of full service. You can also hire - couple food trucks instead choose food that’s not messy like wraps or sandwiches which can just be dropped off for people to grab themselves with no labor costs for service.

We’re spending $35 per person, with buying 1 alcoholic drink for each person.

We paid $180 per person but this included all the linens, china, staff, ect. Full service. Be sure to know exactly what the price covers. It sounds like a great deal, but if you need to add china, servers, bussers, ice, water service, ect. it could be more costly. Just be sure to get all the details.

Ours is starting at $65 PP but who knows at this early stage if we'll do add-ons or anything like that... But this includes cake, DOC, bartender, staff for setup and tear down, and all linens and silverware/plates/glasses. We are expecting something like 50 people because it's a destination wedding for 90% of invited guests. We're getting married in Philadelphia. I think it really depends what all is included in that price and what your area average is.

That sounds fine. We're paying 49/pp so probably around 6k for 80 people but that includes a cheese/cracker display and some non alcoholic drinks. It also included pies which we're having instead of cake.

Max around $1000. Right now we're at $750 for 7.50/head at 100 people coming. We even estimate some people not showing up. So it may be less than that right now. But yeah catering can seem very pricy. I all honesty, the food was one of the biggest stresses I had since in state and culture I live in, food isn't a staple at wedding and I was like we need real food at this wedding because we're not insane.
