Cake Smash: Yea or Nay?

No ma’am. I paid too much money to be gorgeous on my day. He’d better not!

Nope! I even reminded my FH today that we would definitely not be doing that. He said he is right there with me. No cake in the face for us!

I told my FH no .. unless it was just a teeny tiny bit of frosting on my nose be sure his entire face fell. I don't think he would actually do it, and wanted to be sure. My sister in law did it at their wedding and I didn't think it was cute at all

Ha, this came up yesterday. He is a funny carefree guy and said “are we going to smash cake on each other?” I was like—no, definitely not. If he went for a little playful icing on my nose or something I’d be ok, but yeah, spending a kajillion on a dress and hair/makeup makes me pretty opposed to a good fight. Not to mention wasting the delicious expensive cake!

No cake smash all the way. Just not our deal. It can be cute, but isn't for us.

Nay! My FH would be livid if I did that to him and vice versa. Awhile back we attended a wedding where the groom had very sweetly fed his new bride a piece of the cake and then out of nowhere she smashed the cake in his face. From where we were sitting, we could see the expression on his face and it was definitely one that I will not forget. I don't think he had a clue that she was going to do that and he was not pleased about it one bit. After that, my FH and exchanged a glance and we both knew immediately that cake smashing would not be something that we would ever do to one another.

There is no way that this is something I would agree to. This is a hard no. I will not be allowing any of that to happen. I never liked the fact of this at any wedding. Sure the bride may smile, but is that her honest emotion. I think not. This is something for the grooms pleasure. I will pass.

Yes! I'm prepared for a fullnon cake battle! That being said, I'm not very girly and feel like the $100 make up is a waste of money in the first place.
