Nopeeee. Not only would it hurt (crumble coffeecake up your nose??? No thanks) but it just seems genuinely disrespectful. I told my DH about the tradition and he was like "why?!"

No cake in the face! I'm paying to get my hair and makeup done and I'm already going to put my mental energy into not getting my dress or face messed up. I don't need him to do it for me

That will not be happening. I'm not paying $125 to have my makeup ruined by my FH smashing it in my face.
My in-laws had a small engagement party for us and got us a cake. My FH smashed it in my face and it got in my hair as well. I was livid and told him if he does it at the wedding there will be hell to pay.

Absolutely not!! I think it's so disrespectful.
I'm paying to have my hair/makeup done and would be so angry if my hubby ruined it by smashing cake in my face. Thankfully, he's on the same page as me.
