I haven't decided on a baker yet, but the quotes that I've gotten are around $500-$550 for about 130 people, this is what it would look like

I love the colors too! Is that the color scheme for your wedding?

I wonder how easy/difficult it is to make those rosettes. We're doing cake centerpieces instead of flowers.....that would be really simple and give us the fluffy flower look too. Hmmm.

:Smiley surpriseff to email the bakery::

Our colors are pink and grey so instead of the orange we will have a pink ribbon.

I don't think it should be hard for a baker to do, both of the ones I showed it to were said it would be no issue at all.

This is the site where I got the pics from, if it helps you Smiley smile

A cake that will make your eyes glaze over and you and your guests will remember for the rest of your lives is going to cost a little more.

Ladies, this is the one day in your life that you don't want to look back on and say..."I wish I had....." or even worse, "I'm so sorry that I didn't......."

I've been singing in weddings for over 20 years (almost 300 weddings now). The most heartbreaking thing is talking to my brides six months later and hearing them feel unhappy about what should have been a perfect day for them - because of one element where they cut corners and didn't get what they wanted.

A cake that's not just right, crappy flowers, an amatuer photographer, sad food, or bad music can ruin a wedding day in a NY minute. And it sets the tone for your marriage.

I always urge every bride to do whatever it takes to make her wedding day everything she wants it to be. Make it as special and unique as your love!

After reading this thread, I am once again reminded how blessed I am to have a super talented friend who owns her own bakery. As her gift to us she is gifting all of my wedding treats. Her items are always so pretty AND they taste great. She is doing all of my cupcakes (in about 6 different flavors - some mini and some regular sized) and cookies for my hotel guest baskets. I want a small cake to cut (cake inspiration pic below) No pics of cupcakes, but I here are the cookies.

We got super lucky. FSIL offered to make our cupcakes for free! We actually went over to her house today to taste some flavors: Brown Butter Pumpkin cupcakes with Cinnamon Cream Cheese frosting and Cinnamon Sugar cupcakes with Cinnamon Buttercream frosting. They were so good! This is our inspiration pic. The only thing we are paying for is the tree stumps!

Not only am I a bride, but I'm also a cake decorator. Smiley smile In my neck of the woods (southern Illinois) we charge $2.50 a serving. Some places are more, some are less. we are definitely in the middle. We've also been doing it for 30 years and have been on, and won, Ultimate cake off twice.
