What made you decide to wear flats with your gown? Did you feel it took away from the occasion? If you've bought your flats, please post pictures! Thank you

I can't do heels. Period. Lol flats are definitely more comfortable to me. These are mine!

I'm getting a pair or Tieks, not sure what color. I very rarely wear heels, too many jobs on my feet. And I hate shoes, if I could, I'd get married in $10 flip flops.

FH and I are the same height so I didn't want to be taller than him and I'm not a big fan of heels anyway

I'm wearing converse. No heels here. #1-I'm not coordinated enough and it would be a train wreck. #2-FH and I are the same height, there is no need for me to be inches taller than him. #3-our wedding and reception are both outdoors with partially grassy areas, heels won't do at all anyway. #4-The bride and groom converse design we ordered from etsy is AWESOME. #5-comfort.

I think I'm going to do some barefoot sandals for my ceremony since it's on a beautiful, soft beach, and then slip into simple, white flats for the reception after getting as much sand as I can off my toes.

Comfort is my #1 goal there. I don't want to be slipping all over the beach in heels and I don't want to get sand in my shoes or between my toes in actual sandals that would irritate me all night.

My feet and legs are a freaking mess. I have poor circulation, very flat feet and worked standing on essentially a concrete floor for six years, so if I stand on a hard surface for more than 30 minutes everything swells and is incredibly painful. I will force myself to wear wedges if I really want to, but I don't want to be in pain. (I'm 5'7 anyway.) We're also doing our ceremony on a dock/boardwalk surface. So I am going with a pair of velvet flats I found at a department store for $12. No one will really see my feet anyway.

I'm wearing flat sandals. For one, I'm getting married on a mountain top overlook and I'm already taller than my dad who's walking me down the isle.

My dress is long so no one will see the shoes. My FH are the same height and I wanted to be comfortable. I found mine for $17 at Payless Shoe Source in the mall.

I am 5'1", and I cannot wear heels because of medical reasons (back problems). So I will be wearing flats.

I'm another one who is crazy tall. At 6'-1" tall, I don't need any extra height. I'm more comfortable in flats anyway.

Definitely flats! I'm 5'8" and FH is 5'9" so didn't want to be taller, and I rarely wear heals anyway. The added bonus was that my dress was a perfect length with flats so no hemming needed for me!

I just found my shoes today! No one is even going to see my feet and I wanted to be comfortable! I am 5'8" as it is. I felt silly buying a cute pair of heels that will kill me feet and no one will ever see. My dress covers my feet entirely. I wanted to wear slippers if I'm being honest haha.

Il b wearing heels, flats & FH wants to get custom sneakers so we'll be putting those on at some point. I might just go from the heels to the sneakers.
