What made you decide to wear flats with your gown? Did you feel it took away from the occasion? If you've bought your flats, please post pictures! Thank you

I'm wearing sandals that are flat. I got the same ones for my bridesmaids. I want to be comfortable on my wedding day.

I'm 5'3 and I have really bad knees. I would rather go barefoot but prefer a lil comfort. I want to be comfortable, not worried about tripping or falling over.

I have a couple reasons.. I'm close in height to my FH so I don't want to be taller..and more importantly we are getting married outside in the mountains so we will be walking on uneven land and I'm already clumsy enough lol im doing the Kate Spade glitter Ked's. Not sure if the white or blue.

Ps I love so many of the flats everyone is posting!!

I have bad hips and a bad back so I'm very particular about what heels I wear. That's said, I want to be comfortable. I've got a pair of flats for the ceremony and a pair of Fans for reception dancing.

I had two brides today, and they both wore flats; sparkly sandles.

Personally, I'm not a sneaker fan, but if you are, what the hell....wear what makes you comfortable BUT keep in mind that going from heels to flats will affect the length of your dress....

With a long dress, it's not really obvious whether you're wearing flats. And I find heels very uncomfortable. I was very happy with my flats.

I'm doing flats because we're getting married on a cruise.. in port at Grand Cayman on the beach.. it's s tender port and not a dock... So I won't kill myself getting on and off the boat, lol.

My reason is a bit different. I'm not a tall bride, about 5,3, but if I wear heels, I'll be pulling my dress all night once I take them off to dance because of the way my dress is designed. I'd rather stay short.

Hi! I'm wearing flats because I am the same height as FH. Also, I'm 5'9, and having always been tall, I never really got used to wearing heels. My dress is a ball gown so you won't see my shoes anyway, but I wanted to be comfortable more than anything! I got my shoes from ModCloth.com for about $60.

I'm getting married on St. Paddy's day, and my maiden name is Kelly, so I went with Kelly Green!

Flats for sure. I always wear them and FH is only a little taller than me. David's Bridal had these.

I'm jumping on the blinged converse train. I have a love hate relationship with heels.

Our wedding is outside and I am wearing sandals I bought from DB. They match the belt on my dress and I don't have to worry about my feet hurting or heels sinking into the ground all day.

FH is aver a foot taller than me.I'm 5'2", he is 6'4" so I'm wearing heels for at least the ceremony. I found some that are cute and comfortable. Plus my dress is tea length so I wanted some amazing heels.

I am planning to get some flat sandals for the reception in case my feet start to hurt. I used to wear sandals daily at my previous job, but this one is more laid back and I'm the only female, so I wear flats now (since no one notices my awesome pumps here)

I hate heels. I have flat feet and heels KILL my nonexistent arch. Bad. I would be miserable within a half hour. Here's my flats. They're Kate spade and super comfortable!

I'm wearing flats because I am not a heels girl. Plus we are having a beach wedding. But even if we weren't, I'd still be wearing flats.

    I ordered mine from Amazon.

I'm about an inch taller than FH, so I will be wearing flats.

I chose flats because it's such a long day to be wearing heels... so much walking around and dancing. The last thing I want to worry about is my feet hurting. Plus I think about walking down the aisle and how much easier and more comfortable it would be to walk down in flats instead of heels. I don't wear heels on a regular basis so flats felt a lot more like me. I got the sparkly Kate spade keds and I can't wait to wear them!
