I bought my wedding dress this past weekend..I have probably tried on over 70 dresses....I hate making decsions in everyday life. I also think I made the wrong one and obesse over it over it.

I am having a big night formal wedding in Saratoga Springs at the hall of springs...I just bought a LAzaro now I m worried I dont like it....I dont know if I should cancel it. If I post pics will you guys be honest,

Everyone loved it I did too..and I cried and wanted to puke at the same time...

So what is it that you don't like about it? It's not my style of dress, but it's a beautiful dress and I'm sure would look much better when it fits properly. Smiley smile

If you're REALLY unsure, cancel it and wait a while before looking again. The more time you allow yourself to second guess yourself (since you have over a year), the crazier you'll drive yourself. Smiley smile

And welcome to WW, Tricia! I hope you'll update your avatar (the rings) to ANY unique picture from Google we can more easily remember! This post tells you how: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/welcome-to-the-weddingwire-forums-please-read-if-you-are-new/b433c40c1a62b96a.html

It's not something I would pick either because I am really simple but I actually think the dress is really flattering on you and think it will look even better when it fits you properly. I can imagine how beautiful you will look with makeup and hair done as well.

I'm with you with the indecisiveness on everything in life. I bought mine and had second guesses too but after looking at more pictures of myself in it I think I made the right decision.

It's not my style either, but remember the feeling you got when you looked in the mirror. You said you cried... that's usually a sign.

What other styles did you try on? You said you tried on 70 gowns?

I have the same problem. I'm 2 years out, and I've said "yes to the dress" 6 times. I finally stopped torturing myself, and bought a gown 3 weeks ago. It's the style I want, and the neckline I want, so I just stopped the insanity and bought it. I didn't put down deposits on any of the other gowns, so I wasn't out any money. And to make sure I was making the right decision, I paid for the gown in full this time.

    Here's my opinion:

That dress would work well for your wedding and it is beautiful! However, you need to dress for the body you have now, not the body you hope you will have after losing X amount of weight.

I think the dress looks great on you, but you have to think so and believe so too!

    It's definitely formal enough.

I think whats throwing me is how bad the color is off in those lights it makes it almost gray! I do have a lot of time but most dresses take 8-12 months to come in!...I hope people are being honest.

    I can take it...

See I am like this with every decison in life. I over analyze everything I just feel so much pressure for everything to be perfect. I keep asking my mom but she says i need to stop and I am driving her crazyyy...Just worried it wont photograph well etc...im a mess....i Just wanna cry i feel so overwhelmed by it all...

Don't be a mess Tricia! You shouldn't even worry about it photographing well...when you have a professional photographer they will make you look even more beautiful than you could imagine! You just have to remember that this isn't the exact dress you will be wearing, you are in a crappy bridal salon that isn't suited for taking pictures.

Just remember how you felt the minute you saw yourself in the dress.

I love the texture in general, so I am a fan. It looks heavy (beadwork/appliques?), so it is something I would have never tried on myself (I am 5'0)... but you wear it well. If you aren't opposed to accessorizing, I recommend a sash or belt to bring your waist in a little...not because you are chubby because you are NOT, but to give you that full hour glass silhouette. It's definitely formal enough and I wouldnt say you need to be 100% certain...few of us are. But you definitely should love it more than ALMOST every dress you see. Sit with it, maybe go try it on again, and be honest with yourself about how YOU feel in it. Good luck.

Yes, its a Lazaro it was a lot of money but Klienfelds took a lot off so I could afford it.

Its organza with organza flowers with little swaroski crystals in it...I was going to do simple veil and acessories it also has a chapel train

It kills me that almost every girl who posts their dress pic are so quick to say that they are 'chubby' or 'big' and that they will be 'losing a few'. Because all of you are so gorgeous just the way you are!! And remember, FH proposed to you, exactly as you are.

I think the dress is stunning, and will photograph so well! When I saw photos of me in mine at the salon, I hated the way I looked! BUT I believe it was because the dress was too big, the lighting not great, and phone cameras suck! It had nothing to do with me or the dress. When I got it in my size, I loved it oh so much more than in the salon. Smiley smile

If you are really doubting it, I would go in the store, by yourself, and try it on again. And be totally honest with yourself. Don't think about anyone else, just how you feel in the dress. Smiley smile

The dress is beautiful and it looks great on you! I had similar feelings after I bought mine too, I think a lot of people do because it's such a big purchase and everyone will see you in it. Sleep on it before you look at your pictures again. The dress I bought, you can tell it was the one because my face was lit up in all my pictures, the other dresses not so much... What will happen if you go back through your pictures in a couple days? Give your mind a rest girl Smiley smile you tried on 70 dresses!!

I honestly think you look GREAT in that dress- really! I second guessed my dress a million times and in the end bought 3 dresses. When you describe your decision making skills it reminds me a lot of myself haha even deciding on dinner is a big ordeal for me...

I think if you do decide to stay with this dress you will be very happy with it. It truly looks great on you and shows off your figure... you do NOT look chubby at all!

Thanks everyone. I think its bc the lighting was so bad. In 70 dresses my face never lit up at all! And this is bad pic bc I am talking in it lol...I feel like a crazy lady!

We kept doing lace dresses about 40 of them bc thats what i thought I should look like...i was being safe...but I am ultra glamour girl!

The dress is not the problem at all. Your inability to make a decision and stick with it is. Work on that. Otherwise you'll go totally insane with wedding planning and the rest of your life.

BTW, it looks great on you.
