Best and worst bridesmaid gift ever received?

Best: Personalized stationery and a fluffy robe.

Worst: A necklace I was expected to wear the whole day of the wedding (I can't wear necklaces or high necklines, they make me super itchy).

Best: Paid for my hair and makeup. Loved not having to pay that extra

Worst: A teeny jewelry box with a big silver oval for engraving that wasn't engraved with anything

Best: Hair and make-up, and my sister gave me diamond earrings when I was her MOH.

I don't have a worst.

Best: a gift card to my fave spa for a massage

Worst: the jewelry that I had to wear at the wedding. I never wore them again.

I've never actually been a bridesmaid.

Best: large Tervis tumbler. I use it everyday at work.

Worst: necklace/bracelet/earring set to wear in the wedding. It was awful. Us bridesmaids united and decided to leave off the necklace hoping she wouldn't notice. But she did and we had to put them back on.

Both gifts were from the same bride, so it evens out.

Every time I've been a BM my gift has been my jewelry for the wedding. I never knew anything was wrong with that till coming here.

Too funny, but you're right. I also learned here that its boring/wrong to just give them jewelry. Even though I'm giving mine jewelry, I have other gifts as well for them

I've definitely got a best: an engraved "Sisters" photo frame for being MOH at my sister's wedding.

The other two I've got mixed feelings on.

One was a handmade jewelry set for the day of. It was beautiful and I LOVE that it was handmade but It wasn't my style so I never wore it again

Another was perfume. I loved the scent but I never remember to wear perfume, so it mostly went to waste

I am giving mine earings, makeup bag and stuff from bath and Body works. I realy hope thats not bad.

^my little sister gives me this same kind of combo of stuff every year for Christmas. I think it's wonderful!

I was a bridesmaid only twice. Got a pendant necklace each time (an opal and my birthstone). Still wear them.

This is a good post I would like to know what you guys think is a good and bad gift so I don't make the same mistake with my girls!

From my sisters wedding she gave us all little jewelry boxes with the necklaces she wanted us to wear. And for my brothers weddin I got a boot. Lol, a giant beer glass shaped like a boot (they are big beer enthusiasts). I don't have a worst, I like them both.

I've only been a bridesmaid, actually MOH once for my SIL's wedding. She paid for the dress and my MIL paid for our hair so that was nice. But I did not get a thank you card or anything. Even gave her a gift for the shower and wedding. Got a shower thank you, no wedding gift thank you.

Her brother, my DH was the MC, DJ and usher and received nothing as a thank you.

Best: jewelry box, personalized tote bag and personalized picture frame

Worst: scarf and slippers that didn't even fit. They are still in the bag she gave them to us in.

Yeah I'm going to do robes for them and a spa day so I think that will be enough

Best- Manicure, flip flops that matched the dresses for the reception, earrings, cute sweatsuit (when they were "in."

Worst- Pearl earrings. I'm not complaining; they were great! I've just only been a bridesmaid twice and pearl earrings doesn't beat all the stuff above!
