This is what my bridesmaids are getting, along with a matching clutch, personalized hanger, and a tote bag to put it all in. They don't have to wear the necklace for the wedding though. Just thought it was a cute touch. They can wear it every St. Pat's day.

Worst: jewelry that I was forced to wear for the wedding and never wore again as it wasn't my style. And a tank top with "bridesmaid" on it. That's not a gift - I'll never wear it again!

Best: a Tiffany silver bracelet. Another best was a lovely fluffy robe.

Best: Monogrammed tote bag. I use it ALL the time!

Worst: A tarnished compact mirror that was meant to be engraved, but wasn't.

My step sister and I were bridesmaids and my step brother was a groomsmen in my dad and step mom's wedding. No gift other than my dress..but I was like 10...so I guess that isn't too big of a deal.

My MOH gets star treatment since she is the only BM I have. I am buying her a small jewelry gift (that she has picked out, she just doesnt know it yet), I am also treating us to mani/pedis the day before the ceremony and we are staying in a hotel room at the venue the night before the wedding (since the ceremony is at 10AM)

I've never been a bridesmaid, so don't have a worst or best.

I'm giving mine a silk kimono robe for getting ready pictures, ivory pashminas for the ceremony, silver bracelets that they can choose to wear or not the day-of, and buying their makeup for the wedding.

all of these are directly related to the wedding, except for the jewelry and before reading this forum, I wouldn't have thought twice. As it is, now that I know that some people have gotten NOTHING from the bride, I don't feel bad about my choice.

    Best: Clutch bag from Coach

Worst: Bridal jewlery that I won't wear again. I actually toss all of mine the next day.

@Terry- the jewlery that I got looked like it was from Claire's. Very cheap.

I'm torn on what to get my bridesmaids. I know I want to get them all glitter wine tumblers. I was also looking into Tiffany earrings. A spa gift certificate sounds like a great idea too!

Terry- I went super cheap on the jewelry because the makeup bag and wallet were already on the high end of my desired spending but I wanted to do jewelry so that one of my BMs doesn't wear the same huge necklace she wore for her other friends wedding (she is re-wearing the same dress because the other friend and I picked the same color and I didn't care what dress style)

My girls are wearing long black dresses. I got them black and regular ( clear) diamond necklaces. Since they are real I'm sure they will wear again. But I am doing the. Other stuff too since I want them to feel special

The jewelry I got was costume jewelry from a local designer. It was pretty, but I really can't wear necklaces (*itch* *twitch* *itch!*).

I did matching shawls for my girls (since they chose their own outfits and I wanted to coordinate with them. I also did mini cocktail shakers as a fun extra, in case they didn't especially like the shawls.

We did small thank you gifts to a few VIPs, but kept them simple. A bottle of champagne and a handwritten note is always welcome (or fancy chocolates, for nondrinkers).

^^This is exactly why if I make my girls wear jewelry for my wedding, it will not be included in their gift.

I don't have a best or a worst. I have only been a bridesmaid once and we received costume jewelry- a necklace and earrings from the bride. Though it was pretty, it was not my style and I haven't worn them since.

A friend who is no longer a friend bought everyone stuff from the Dollar Store. True story. At least it matched our dresses and I did use the purple basket for bathroom stuff for a long time, but come on.

I never really thought much about this before ww either. I feel like it's a nice gesture considering everything the bridesmaids do to be there but I would not be offended or upset if the bride got my something to wear the day of the wedding.

My SIL got me a candle, nail polish, and j.crew bracelet for her wedding. We had to wear the bracelet in the wedding and it didn't really match any of the other jewelry I brought with me because I was traveling out of town but I made it work.

My cousin got us jewelry to wear in her first wedding and I was young so I really don't remember what it looked like or what I did with it- haha!

Not a BM gift but kind of related- my husband custom made his 9 groomsmen Nike ID's and they all LOVED them. They posted pics everywhere and they all text him every time they wear them. They couldn't stop talking about it. Wish I could have done that for my girls haha!
