9 bridal trends that have gotten tired:

1. Dancing to "At Last"

2. Tiny Food

3. Still Life Photography (i.e. the dress hanging in the window shot)

4. Tables named after the couple’s not-so-interesting interests

5. Using the term "bridezilla"

6. Disposable Cameras

7. Dogs as Ring Bearers

8. The "roast" toast (i.e. making fun of the bride and groom in the best man toast)

9. The "laid back" theme

Did they miss any?

We are doing the following and I love them so I don't agree they are tired!

    3. Still Life Photography (i.e. the dress hanging in the window shot)

    4. Tables named after the couple’s not-so-interesting interests

    7. Dogs as Ring Bearers

    8. The "roast" toast (i.e. making fun of the bride and groom in the best man toast) (at least I'm hoping he turns it into a roast)

@Jen I finally found someone who also love the jumping photo

SOmehting I'll never do is a candy bar, I think it looks cute and also works as a favor but is WAY too overdone in my area.

We did do the smashing of the cake, but right beforehand, the wedding coordinator told my DH that he had to keep the cake in the box. In other words, keep it between the chin and the nose. He followed the directions well, however, I chose not to. We are too goofy to be serious with cake.

I hate the song "At Last" so it won't be played at all during our wedding.

@Dena...we have kids...but not boys lol My son is 9 and is by his standards, "too old" but I will have 4 flower girls. The penguins come as an option for the venue which works cuz FH LOVE LOVE LOVES penguins.

I hate the pic where the bride is standing in a field, and the groom is sort of lurking about 20 feet behind her. It looks like something out of a horror movie. Also hate the jumping pics.

Seems like this person doesn't want to see anything s/he's seen before. Um, weddings themselves are a tradition. If you're sick of weddings, stop going to them!

Our dog is the same way Cydney, he has to be wherever we are, so we definitely want him included in our wedding too.

Do we care what the hell someone else says in cliche? This is my DAMN day, I will have whatever I want. You don't like it, you probably weren't invited in the first place and you don't have to come and if you do, you can leave at any time....oh sorry, I am just sick of people saying things like "no, you can't do that or you can't have that, or that has been done too many times"...

    MY DAY = MY WAY

Sorry but you only get married once right?

    Hmm, let's see:

    1. Dancing to "At Last" Nope. Our first dance was a swing dance to Leonard Cohen's "Dance Me to the End of Love."

    2. Tiny Food Apparently, our pigs in blankets are still allowed. ;-)

    3. Still Life Photography (i.e. the dress hanging in the window shot) Our photographer did this (although in our case, it was two dresses hanging in front of a bookcase). However, there wasn't a whole lot of it.

    4. Tables named after the couple’s not-so-interesting interests Our tables had neither names nor numbers, as we didn't have assigned seating.

    5. Using the term "bridezilla" This one is a pet peeve of mine. If a bride is a bitch or obnoxious (either all the time, or in response to stress), then say so. But don't act as though such conduct is a normal part of being a bride.

    6. Disposable Cameras Nope. We had a photosharing site, which produced much better pictures.

    7. Dogs as Ring Bearers NotFroofy tried to talk me into this. However, I reminded her that a) the dog couldn't come to the restaurant reception, and we had nowhere to leave her between ceremony and reception, and b) our dog is very shy, and would hate being ringbearer.

    8. The "roast" toast (i.e. making fun of the bride and groom in the best man toast) My son (the dude of honor), my daughter (the maid of honor), and my sister-in-law all gave toasts. They were all touching and sentimental.

    9. The "laid back" theme No beaches or barns for us!
