Bachelorette Party Destinations - North Florida/ga Area

Kimberly, on July 27, 2019 at 11:52 AM Posted in Florida Planning 0 14
Hello there future brides! I am getting married Oct. 10, 2020 so my bachelorette party is quite a long time away 😂 however, I’m assessing timelines as all of my bridal party & girlfriends will be traveling down to Florida for all events. This will essentially be a destination wedding for most except for a few invitees. I’m hoping to lump my bachelorette weekend & bridal shower in one weekend to make it easier on schedules - my bridal shower will be in Jacksonville. Does anyone have recommendations on locations for a bachelorette weekend within 2-3 hours of Jacksonville with fun nightlife, give us the ability to rent a full house, & fun daytime activities for a big group? St. Augustine and Daytona are scratched off the list given the lack of nightlife from what I’ve researched. Any advice/recommendations appreciated!

    Hi there Kimberly!

    Welcome to the Weddingwire community!

Would you consider Savannah for your bachelorette party? It’s approximately a two-hour drive from Jacksonville!

This WeddingWire article has a ton of ideas of things to do in the area - A Savannah Bachelorette Party Itinerary.

How many girls will be going on the trip?

Pretty much any town (major towns not small ones) have a night life including Daytona, Jacksonville and At. Augustine. St. Augustine doesn't have a hug night life but there is a strip of bars. Its a beautiful city though and has lots to do during the day. Daytona has a nightlife as well. Its all about finding the downtown region and booking close to it for convenience. I life in South Florida (sarasota) and I can pretty much find a night life wherever I go here (even small nothing towns like Ocala. Every town has one. If you are looking for bumping night clubs though these tend to be a little harder to find than bars.

I live in Jacksonville and for my friends bachelorette parties we have gone to Tampa, St. Pete, Clearwater, and Fort Lauderdale. All are great spots for nightlife and getting a large Airbnb for everyone to stay at together. St. Pete was probably a favorite and is only a 3 hour drive from Jax. We stayed in St. Pete beach at the Guy Harvey resort and then bar hopped around the beach and went out one night in Downtown St. Pete and had a blast! Clearwater is right there too and has great night life. Or you could always go 2 hours north to Savannah, which is super popular for bachelorettes!

Yes, i think the nightlife is the biggest part and I’m a town over from St. Augustine (my favorite day time adventure) but the nightlife isn’t the same. Thank you for the advice!

I'm not to familiar with the location, however I can share a fun idea. Just recently I attended a bachelorette/ bridal shower (Bridalorette as my friend called it) and all of us took a party bus to a day spa/ mineral springs spa for the day. We all loaded back onto the bus and went back to freshen up and hit the town for the night. The older ladies were able to participate in the day event, but let us girls have a fun "let your hair down" kind of a night after.

    Hope that helps.

Savannah would be so worth the drive! Always see tons of bach parties and I'm even considering having mine there. My wedding will be the week before yours! Every time I've been to savannah, I could barely get out of bed to leave the next day so take that as a warning! lol but you can't go wrong with a beautiful/walk able city, great food, and an awesome night life. (beer tour bikes, open container law, wet willies to start the night)

Have you considered Disney or other Orlando attractions? Its about a 3 hour drive from Jacksonville but Disney and Universal are both super popular bach party destinations. CityWalk at Universal has great clubs and better security than a regular downtown area.
