Are you playing song in the middle of your ceremony?

We aren't playing any music during the ceremony either. Only before & after,

Just a thought - you might want music while you, FH, the BM, and MOH are signing your paperwork, otherwise it will be very quiet

I didn't plan on signing our paperwork during the ceremony? Is that a thing?

It would be weird if you DID do it, I've never heard of this.

In the US, paperwork is not signed at the ceremony and many states don't require witnesses.

@AG - every wedding I've been to they did? There's a signing table off to the side and the photogs take pics as everyone signs it?

ETA: I am in Canada, so maybe its a different requirement. Here you need two witnesses at the ceremony, the paperwork gets signed then and there.

We have a song in the ceremony, but it's FH and I singing to each other. If someone else was singing/playing and you just stood there, I feel like it would be awkward. I've also seen music played when people do unity candles or unity sand. ETA: one of these days I'll learn how to type.

I think my sister might sing a song during the ceremony....I haven't decided on that yet but I don't think it is necessary. I am all for quick ceremonies

We are having a soloist. He will sing a song before the bridal party enters, and will sing another song during the lighting of the unity candle. Music is very important to FH and I, so we couldn't imagine "our" ceremony without it. The songs we have chosen are very special to us.

Nope, not during. Our ceremony is only going to be about 15-20 minutes long though, so it won't really be needed.

I've only had several songs or musical pieces in the middle of the ceremony. Usually the cues are off and personally, i feel awkward listening to a soloist during a wedding.

For unity candles, etc, generally, the officiant is talking while that is happening, so no need.

And in the US, we don't usually sign paperwork during the ceremony.

In Canada we sign the paperwork during the ceremony. During that time, we will have a reader and our DJ will play a song very quietly.

We had a friend sing in the middle of the ceremony -- longest 3 minutes of our lives!

I recommend not doing it.

When songs happen in the middle of the ceremony, I feel like it causes a break in the flow of the wedding. I get bored after approximately 7 seconds.

We had music playing for the unity ceremony, but we had musicians so once we were finished they were able to end the must on the right note so to speak.

We're not having any music during the ceremony. We want our ceremony to be short and sweet!
