Are you letting your bridesmaids pick their hair and jewelry?

meesh1204, on November 15, 2013 at 2:34 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 36

My bridesmaids keep asking me what I want them to do with their hair - I keep telling them to do whatever they feel like! They will all have the same dress and black shoes..other than that I do not care what they do with their hair or jewelry/accessories. The way I look at it is: everyone has different hair types and different hair lengths..different styles look better on certain people so why force them to do their hair a certain way? Same with the shoes - my shortest BM is only 5ft 2 and the tallest is 5ft 7...if I had them all wear 4" heels it would be ridiculous..

Are you letting your BM's do as they please or are you making them match every detail?

Matching dresses, same color shoes, and same flowers is all I care about :p

I will pay to have my BMs hair done and they can do it however they want! I am buying their jewelry but got their input first.

Edit: I'm also letting them pick their own shoes...they just have to be gray Smiley smile

My girls get to pick everything but their dress and what color of shoe they're wearing. I did it for the same reason you are: they know what looks best on them. Plus, one of my girls doesn't have pierced ears, so matching jewelry is a no go. I just want them to be comfortable.

I'm doing something similar to you. They all have matching dresses, and I told them they could wear whatever black shoes they want. I don't care how they get their hair done, but I bought them all bracelets and earrings so they don't feel like they have to go out and buy something. I just figured it was easier.

I am lucky in that both my BM and my MOH are maybe an inch or two different in height and are relatively the same body shape, hair color etc. I mean look completely different but main points are similar so they are wearing the same dress, shoes and jewelry but they both love everything they're wearing and they are things they can wear again.

EDIT: As for hair, I want their hair either pulled back or up but they can basically do what they want. My MOH just has gorgeous hair and I'm not gonna lie- I'm jealous. lol So i at least want it pulled back haha

My girls are picking their own shoes I only ask that they are silver, I'm paying for their hair but they can do what they want. They are all going to have matching jewelry sets once we find something

My girls wore the same dresses and shoes and I bought them matching bracelets and hair pieces. I let them chose the rest. My girls kept asking me the same thing. Some brides have a specific look in their head and want their girls to all look the "same" in every detail.

My girls are picking everything except for they need to be in green dresses, any color green. I don't care about the length, color, cut, fabric... shoes, hair, jewelry... I don't prefer the cloned identical look... I've been forced to do it too many times myself.

Hair yes. I am paying for it to be done... Jewelry I am buying for them as part of their gift, shoes have to be silver. Dress as long as it is navy, short, certain fabric and from whatever store or designer gets chosen... I am still having some issues getting everything in order..

I let them pick from 6 different dresses, they could wear whatever shoes, jewelry and hair style they wanted. I wanted them to feel comfortable and unique.

They basically get to pick everything. One BM is very concerned about this. She called me about 6 weeks ago asking for permission to cut her hair. I was like, "CHICK LISTEN TO ME: I DO NOT CARE." I explained to her that she is not a BP robot, she can style her hair however she wants the day of the wedding, pick whatever shoes and jewelry she wants, and just show up. It was a foreign concept to her.

I let them pick out their own dresses (I picked color and material) it just happened that they all liked the same one. I picked out their jewelry and bought it for them. No shoes (beach wedding) and I gave them the option of getting their hair done (they pay) 3 paid 1 did her own, I let them style it however they wanted.

I picked the dresses - but they got to give me input on them, I brought two of them to the store with me (Everyone is scattered so we couldn't go as a group). They get to pick shoes, I just specified color. I will be giving them necklaces that I am making, which I hope they like! My only thing with the hair is I'm having my hair done half up half down swept to the side and I just asked that they not do that. So hair all the way up or all the way down. I don't think that's too bad really.

I'm paying for hair and make up so that will look the same on all of them. I want to be the only one who looks different and stands out. They can get whatever jewelry they want as long as it isn't over the top

I told my girls the dress and the color of their shoes. I bought them earrings, so those will be the same. I asked that their hair be up. I don't care after that. one aske about having tendrils down, or having hair accessories...ya i dont care.

I am letting my BMs pick their shoes and hair. The only direction I have given them is no updo. I want them to wear their hair down or half up/half down.
