Our story is certainly not the standard meet and greet. We were both working at a restaurant in Padre Island, Texas and at the time I was in another relationship. We became friends while we worked together for a few weeks but both went our seperate ways when we found better jobs. A few months later when my previous relationship came to an end, the person I wanted to see was Chris. I didn't have a phone number for him and I didn't even know his last name so I looked to Facebook. And I quickly found him tagged in photographs from the restaurant we had both worked at. (Chris will tell you that I facebook stalked him- which I suppose is true!) I sent him a message with my phone number and we started texting and we would meet up to go to the gym on base. We became inseperable from then on and our first date lasted over 8 hours, with almost two hours of those sat on his driveway talking and putting off saying goodbye. We "officially" started dating December 11th, 2011. Two weeks later I got really sick and had to have emergency surgery the day before Christmas Eve. Chris sat in the waiting room with my mom for hours and more than proved his love for me in the days that followed. Especially when I fell ill again on New Years Day and Chris had to rush me to the hospital, sit with me for six hours in the emergency room and spend several uncomfortable nights on a hospital chair, refusing to leave me on my own. Six months into our relationship we found out we were expecting a child and despite the surprise of this news, we were both excited to be starting a family together. Chris proposed to me December 23rd, 2012. He was so nervous it took him thirty minutes to actually ask the question despite him knowing I would only say yes. We are both so excited for our wedding and to have everyone join us on a day we will remember forever!
