5 inch heel-anyone?

Aimee R (formerly Aimee B), on April 3, 2012 at 4:18 PM

I LOVE these shoes and although I wear HIGH heels all the time, I wonder has anyone else opted for a high heel on their big day vs something small like a 2-3 inch. Thanks!

OMG Aimee I love love those shoes!!!! I am wearing 5 inch heels so you totally get my vote to go for it!!! I never wear shoes under 4 inches so I am not worried too much (I did buy a pair of flats as a back up just in case). Here is a picture of my shoes!!

Be sure your back up shoes are close in height to your high heels

I think this was more of a stunt because of her reaction... but be careful if the dress is too long after you take off your heels.

You will need to PICK up your dress ALL Night so you don't step on it (and that is going to get very old and very tiring)

I love them but FH doesn't want me to wear more than 3 inches because he is only 4 inches taller than me so it is pushing it with 3 inches.

@ Hayley LOL! Yes that is a stunt. Her dress was already ripped and hanging before she even fell but it could happen!

Those are really cute! I wore a 4-inch heel for my engagement pics, and only fell 3 times! lol. Of course, my photographer captured one of those falls ;o. Oops. But...to my defense, they were not made for ice. I think I'm going with 3 inch. If you can handle the 5-inchers, more power to you! Rock it! Oh, and I'm getting 3 inch flip-flops for the reception to boost my comfort level. Not sure if anyone sells 5 inch, but it could be something to look into. Smiley smile

I will be wearing a 4 inch heel, I need to practice walking in them because I usually wear 2-3 inch heels. Let's pray that I don't fall on my face the day of!

Those shoes are hot! I wouldn't wear a heel on my big day, but would definitely wear them out on a date night w/ FH. (He's 6'2, I'm 5'10. He loves when I get "tall and amazon", I'm a bit self conscious about it.)

I wish so bad I could wear 5 inch heels! I wish I could wear 3 inch heels!

However, I have to wear ballet flats or half inch heels. With any kind of heels on, I'm just as tall or taller than my FH. And both of us hate the idea of me leaning over to kiss him at the alter. lol I'm only 5 feet 4 inches..He's 5 feet 8 inches. So it really doesn't work. Sadly.

These shoes are awesome but I'm 5'9 & FH is 6 feet so I'll have to wear a low heel for the big day.

Damn you Hayley - you had to go and post those wedges and that site. I just spent like the last 45 minutes going thru that site with FH looking at the wedges and sending FH the ones that I liked. We found a pair that will work perfect for the reception and of course I just bought them so hopefully I won't have to worry about the hem on my dress and will just have to deal with the heels for the reception. But that really is an awesome site!!!

I wore 5" heels and my feet were killing me by the end of the ceremony! lol My dad had to take my shoes off for me before we could get pictures. But I loved them none the less! I changed into flip flops for the reception. Not the smartest idea since my dress was hemmed for the heels but it all came out at the cleaners.

Luckily I won't need my dress hemmed so I'm safe in that dept. I think I'll just pick up a pair of cute 3 inch wedge sandals for the reception (dancing) and get some killer heels for the ceremony/first part of reception.

Now I'm hooked on these from Hayley's website!
