Who would have thought a lady working on a novel and studying for her GED and a man in college waiting to graduate and join the army would fall in love?   Mark and I met outside of a Barns and Nobles in Overland Park. Shy at first..Mark began texting me as we sat next to eachother, swapping smiles. Yes, we were ignorant. But looking back it was pretty cute and smart of him to send the first text when both of us were quite shy. We went out to eat. And met up again very soon after. Second date..he took me to see Pirates of the Caribbean. During the movie is when he first held my hand. After the movie, it was late and everywhere in OP is closed so we walked around the mall parking lot talking and enjoying ourselves. After a while, he took me in his arms and we shared our first kiss. A couple dates later he gave me his dog tags and asked me to be his girlfriend. With his beautiful eyes and bright smile...I couldnt say no. Spending everyday together for a while..I met his parents and we learned that his family and I get along amazingly. He gets along with my mother and sister as well. Things couldn't be better. Well..things soon got better for us. We got into fights, worked it out, and reminded eachother how much we love eachother. Months later..November 3rd 2011..Mark brought me to the lake where we go semi often to have peaceful quality time together. We did the usual, built the fire together and i sat back and watched him add leaves and sticks to keep the fire going. The sun set and we cuddled by the fire looking up at the stars and talking about our future together. After a long while of talking..Mark took my hand, had me stand up, and gave me a huge hug along with many kisses. He held me tight. Looking into my eyes, he smiled. He talked a bit more about us then said "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you...And I'm gonna start right now."  and got down on one knee, pulled a little brown box out of his pocket and opened it then asked "will you marry me?"   My mind was a big blur of confusion if this was really happening or if I was in another lala land. I leaned forward and kissed his lips then said "ofcourse!"  He put the ring on my finger then stood up and held me.
