5 inch heel-anyone?

Aimee R (formerly Aimee B), on April 3, 2012 at 4:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 44

I LOVE these shoes and although I wear HIGH heels all the time, I wonder has anyone else opted for a high heel on their big day vs something small like a 2-3 inch.

Thanks!

Gorgeous Shoes! I don't wear heels very often but when I do they are 4-5 inches. I am not sure if I am going to wear heels yet on my big day but if I do its going to be High heels lol

    Thank you doll!!

I tried on a 3 inch with my dress and they said it would be a good height since then I wouldn't have to have it hemmed.

I figured I could get them and try them out but I just was leery.

Mine were about 4-4 1/2. They hurt but that's about the only way DH didn't have to bend so low to kiss me! lol

I figure I can always get some sandals or something as a backup for later in the night if need be. Smiley winking

I will be wearing 5 inch heels. I will be a giant compared to the guests (I'm 5' 7'') but fortunately FH is 6' 4'' so I don't care Smiley smile

I posted some purple ones on your other post.

I wore 4" heels the Whole day.

5" might make the dress too short if the 3" were perfect, so be careful.

** also, your back up shoes can't be TOO much shorter, otherwise your dress will be Too LONG and you will trip on the front hem and might rip the dress. When the dress is too long, it drags on the floor, and as you step forward the dress catches the floor and slides up under itself towards your feet and your next step can end up stepping on the inside of the dress.

I love the higher heels, but my knees won't let me do it anymore in my old age lol!!! Heck mine are only 3 inches and I hope I don't break my neck. I do love these though Aimee B.

OMGoodness, someone hand me a cloth to wipe my chin. I love them.

I wore 4.5 inchers for about 2 hours. Then, the dogs began to bark.

Those are cute! I'm doing 3.5 inches. I also have 3.5 inch backups. I'm not great with heels, so I also got platform flip flops.

Our height difference isn't THAT drastic but he is 6'2" and I'm 5'5". I thought it would look odd in the first kiss picture if he had to bend over.

I seriously had the back up shoe problem. My sweep train dragged so much, I totally changed my clothes.

I Love High heels, but i think I want to wear actual dancing shoes for the reception, which are normally only about 3 inches. i might got for something a little taller for the ceremony and just deal with an inch or two drag on the floor.

I would go try them on with your dress and make sure it doesn't make the hem look like flood pants. Smiley smile

My heels are over 4" but I wear heels like that all the time. I've learned recently a good trick for platforms (at least for me) is to order them a half size too big and then put gel pads on the balls of my feet. That way when my feet swell a little from dancing and walking and such, the straps aren't too tight but the gel pads keep my feet secure and fill up some of the extra space with cushion.

Are those heels 5" PLUS the platform or are they 5" total. The platform on them looks like about a 1" so it would actually feel more like 4 inch heels while you are wearing them.

    Kris great suggestion!

My dress isn't in yet, any day now, I was just getting a head start. I guess I will wait until it is in since the shoes have a 30 day return policy.

    Sigh. I love them!

Thanks ~ did you like any of them? They didn't all come in both sizes, but they all came in at least one size you listed.
