It would depend on your location and the legality in your state. I recently saw an article about a couple in CA that had one.

I see you're in Colorado, so I would just start finding places you like and asking.

Just curious, because I've never been to a marijuana friendly wedding...

How exactly are you incorporating marijuana into your wedding?

I would assume no children are allowed...

It may also depend on whether or not you are inviting children, not sure, although I'm also not well versed in marijuana laws, but something to consider.

@MMB, thank you for asking and @OP thank you for answering. I was afraid we were evolving from the camo print dress to the marijuana plant dress! Its been that kind of a day on here.

@Sarah, hmmm I also live in Colorado and I know that smoking in public is illegal, so I can't imagine a venue being too okay with you doing that. BUT if I remember right, Denver just passed a law allowing smoking in some buildings as long as it's in a separate area and since you've got time until your tentative date, I think some will be up and running those sections by then Smiley smile

I am not sure about that but, I assume that the liability aspect of marijuana is similar to alcohol. Most places limit the location where you can partake, ie. the parking lot. That may be difficult to find.

I saw an article once where the couple had a marijuana-friendly wedding. They even had a mixing/tasting bar where they provided different strains for their guests to mix (and possibly smoke). I think the bride also had leaves or buds in her bouquet. They were marijuana farmers.

Lots of things could be so different by 2019 regarding marijuana laws. I've seen a couple b&bs but as far as I know it's currently illegal to consume it in public. Again, this could totally change by 2019.

Maybe have your title say "420 friendly venues in CO" and you may get more responses from fellow CO residents. I think I've seen some users here mention that they blazed at their weddings in CO.

Yup, Denver is becoming VERY marijuana friendly. Which I personally don't like because the smell of it gives me migraines. But that's just me. As long as people keep it contained indoors I couldn't give a crap.

If not OP, edibles may be a better option.

We live in WA and our venue said it is fine as long as it's 25 feet away from doors (just like cigarettes). Laws are different on private property.

Just do an open bar and look forward to the day -- five years from now -- when marijuana will be as acceptable as tobacco used to be. At this point, if you have a single minor attending, just scrap the plan to find a weed friendly venue.
