420 friendly reception venues

@Jen OP never said she wasn't considering her guests. This is no different than cigarette smokers who choose to take a smoke break outside. Are those people inconsiderate? If she's of legal age and in a state where it is legal you have no right to pass judgement based on your views of marijuana.

I don't understand why people need to get high and can't just wait a few hours til it's over. If your worried about this then maybe there are more issues then finding a venue.

After all the discussion in which people have said that open bars are a necessity, I find these ironic:

"I think this is extremely inappropriate considering there are so many people against this and you can't guarantee all your guests will be ok with this. Just because you are doesn't mean that you shouldn't take into the consideration of all your guests that are coming to you enjoy your special day with you. Not be around weed the whole time."

and

That being said, I'd be inclined to go for edibles. Smoking outside may well be illegal. And smoking inside is likely to trigger all the allergy/asthma/concern about drug testing issues.

I’m looking for a 420 friendly venue in Massachusetts... I would just like somewhere that would allow a wedding edible cake and for there to be smoking allowed outside

Las Vegas is now a 420 friendly city recreational and medical. I even saw one place called The Apothecary Shop and they make wedding cakes edibles.

i get that weed is a sensitive topic still, just like alcohol was waaaay back in the day, but with the way WW boards get up in arms over dry weddings/cash bars ("expect people to sneak in alcohol", "expect most guests to leave", etc), it's kind of surprising. all the same could be said about alcohol, but oh well.

i also agree edibles may be the best route, that way those who want to get high can do so without affecting the lungs of those who don't.
