Eric was so awesome to work with!!! He is so easy going and made us feel so comfortable!! We absolutely loved our photos and how he was able to capture the emotion and all of our special moments on our wedding day! Our album was beautifully done as well!! Eric is not only a talented photographer but an wonderful person :)

Erik did a terrific job with the photography at our wedding! My sister had hired Erik for her wedding two years before and the pictures were amazing! He is very flexible, upbeat, took the time to learn everyone's name in the party and paid close attention to detail. THANK YOU ERIK!

I would absolutely recommend Erik Matey!!!! He is wonderful, extremely talented and very professional! He did my boudoir shoot and our wedding and I couldn't be happier with the photos he produced! He captured the beautiful moments I will always remember! His assistant was just as great and they worked so well together! I highly recommend Erik for future weddings and boudoir shoots! I can promise we will be using him for future special moments like maternity and family photos!!

Erik was amazing! He showed up on time and immediately started photographing the day. My husband, bridesmaids, and myself had a wonderful time with him. He is super down to earth and We felt 100% comfortable with him all day. Before leaving for the ceremony I had a few mini panic attacks and he was trying to help any way possible! His work is amazing and I will recommend Erik to any one I come across looking for a photographer. Your wedding day being one of the most hectic days ever is true but my husband and myself had the most fun, and were the most relaxed while getting our pictures with Erik. I cannot thank him enough for all that he did that day, he truly is an awesome person and im glad he got to share our day with us! Thank you so much Erik!!

Erik was absolutely fantastic. We got his contact information from a close photographer friend of ours who sung his praises and he completely followed through. He was right in the action during our rehearsal dinner, snapping photos and putting people at ease while he did it. He blended right into the atmosphere and ended up capturing incredible photos. Best yet, he got these to us on a flashdrive just a week and a half later! He is a consummate professional and his photos are amazing. We highly recommend him to anyone in need of a photographer.

We were married February 27 2016. As we pull together our wedding album (finally!), I am happy to say that Erik made this entire process - from the engagement session to our wedding - so seamless!! He's incredibly easy going and meshed well with our personalities. I will say has captured the MOST AMAZING shots I have ever seen! Erik has a really unique style and he made it such a fun experience. Thank you, Erik, for capturing the most beautiful day of our lives!!

Erik was extremely helpful and kind. We chose him based on his focus of natural photography rather than lots of posed pictures. He made my husband and I feel really relaxed with the engagement pictures (which we thought would be super awkward.. it wasn't!) and on the wedding day.

He captured our wedding day perfectly! He captured moments that I was totally unaware of without being intrusive. I actually totally forgot about Erik and Val being there the entire reception, but they got the best pictures!

He also had an extremely quick turnaround on the wedding photos!

Erik was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was always very quick to answer questions, whether it be by phone or email. My husband and I were looking for a unposed, natural memory of our wedding day, and that is exactly what Erik and his assistant provided for us. The pictures were even better then we could have imagined. The album that he made for us was perfect. He took all the stress of having to choose which photos to put in the album completely away from us and what he came up with was a beautiful remembrance of the day. An engagement shoot was included in our package, which we used as a chance to get some family portraits done with our two little boys. He was great with our kids and captured some wonderful shots of our family. Erik is a very kind person and really knows what he is doing. I would recommend him to anyone needing a photorapher for anything.

Erik Matey has a style unlike most wedding photographers. The obvious quality of his work is above and beyond, but more than that is his ability to capture so much emotion within each photograph. His relaxed personality makes you forget he is taking your picture half the time and his only goal is to make you feel your best. If I could go back and do our wedding day all over again, there would be some things I would change, but I know for sure I would, in a heart beat, use Photography by Erik Matey again and again. His professionalism, attentiveness, and natural talent leave you with beyond beautiful photographs that you'll happily look at for the rest of your life. Don't wait a second longer, book him!

We recently received our pictures from our wedding day and all I can say is that Erik is absolutely incredible! He captured every little moment and the photos are absolutely gorgeous. My friends and family have been commenting on how amazing his work. I have even had some friends email me to inquire about what photographer I used for my wedding because they loved the pictures so much. Erik and his 2nd shooter were super polite but were also able to keep my big Italian family on point all day! He made sure we captured all of the photos my husband and I wanted and Erik provided helpful direction at each location. Erik is extremely stealthy and at many times I forgot he was even there. This allowed my husband and I to really enjoy each moment and not focus on the cameras around us. I cannot rave about Erik enough. Not only is he a creative photographer but he is a wonderful person which made it really nice to work with him on one of the most special days of our lives.

Can't recommend Erik Matey enough! We found him by chance, through a series of referrals, and i'm so happy we did. I was extremely picky when choosing a photographer, but Erik's style, which is really natural and candid, was exactly what we were looking for & his work is amazing-i still get compliments on how much people loved our wedding photos and engagement session. And in general, he was just great to work with! From our first meeting, up until getting our finished album, he was so easy-going, professional, and just a pleasure. Our engagement session came first, and while at first it can be nerve-wracking, he made my husband and I feel completely comfortable and we ended up having a lot of fun with it. Our wedding day was seamless and we couldn't be happier with the photos from that day too-they look like they could be in a magazine. Erik also made our wedding album process very simple too. We went back and forth with him on revisions and layout and it's perfect. The quality is amazing and i definitely recommend splurging for the 12x12 size-it is impressive! At the end of the day, we didn't just hire a wedding photography but made a friend too-don't hesitate to hire this guy!

I don't even know where to start when talking about Erik. He did my friends wedding years ago, and he was so amazing then that when it was finally my turn to get married i just knew nothing would compare to the work that he does. We first did our engagement pictures with him - we had a blast and it was all so natural. The pictures came out flawless. Then when it came time for our wedding day, he and his assistant, Anna, were simply incredible. I swear it was like you didn't even know they were there. We got the pictures done quickly, and the ones that I have seen already make me feel like i'm still there. i cannot recommend Erik enough - he is worth every single penny and then some. If you want to remember every moment of the most important day of your life, use Erik and you will never be disappointed.

From the first conversation with Erik I knew he was going to be awesome! He agreed to our photographer just 3 short months before our big day, after we had signed a contract with a faulty company. Erik and Jen we nothing short of amazing the day of the wedding. He allowed us to be our selves but capturing those important moments! Jen went as far as helping bustling my dress and fixing my hair. We loved using Erik for our wedding! He was a last minute addition to our wedding and we could not have been more grateful for him. He was just as happy for us as if he has known us forever. He was so calm and happy the entire day. He handled our large families well and was very kind and professional. He exceeded our expectations - and we had pretty high expectations. :) If you want a professional and skilled photographer who will bring confidence, excitement as well as the right amount of calmness to your day, then Erik is your photographer.

Erik and I had emailed back and forth so many times that by the big day, he felt like one of the wedding party. Not only was he a pleasure to have around, but he was able to think on his feet when the sporadic rain forced us to adjust our picture-taking plans. All day long, (and we had a big gap between our ceremony and reception, so it was a very long day) he was sliding in and out of the action without ever making people feel like they had to stop what they were doing to say "cheese." And when my husband was break dancing, I saw Erik dive in low on the dance floor to capture the action. Honestly, Erik's dive-and-slide move was photo-worthy in itself! Erik captured not just frozen moments, but the whole atmosphere of our wedding, and that was what I most wanted in a photographer. Looking at his pictures, I can hear the music playing and feel the buzz of excitement in the air all over again. He exceeded my expectations, and I'd recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Erik is simply a wonderful photographer. He did out engagement pictures and I couldn't be more thrilled with the pictures. Not only are the images beyond perfect- but we had a BLAST with Erik. He is so easy to be around and I can't wait to have him be a part of our wedding day. There is no one else worth hiring- he is simply the only choice. I agonized over the decision of hiring a wedding photographer and so glad I made the right decision. Erik is easy going and great to work with. He was always just a phone call away if I had a question and we met to go over all the details before the big day. He actually even gave some other helpful non-photography advice about the music that worked out great too! I love my wedding photos, especially the candid shots and the portraits. He had them online within a few days and I only wished the hotel on our honeymoon had a faster wifi connection. Highly recommended!

We are very happy that Erik Matey was our photographer. When we were originally checking out photographers online, his work stood out above the rest. He is the only photographer that we considered. My husband and I didn't want anyone else after seeing Erik's work.
We selected a package with an engagement session, so we had the pleasure of having Erik 'shoot' us twice. He really put us at ease, or at least as much as you can be at ease with a camera in your face! When I started feeling weird about a pose, he would stop to show me the shots that he had taken so far. He was very professional, and very, very talented.
On our wedding day, Erik handled everything very smoothly. He followed my direction, and rolled with any last-minute changes. I hardly remember seeing him, yet he took photos from every moment. On the times when I do remember seeing him, he was climbing things or rolling around on the floor, doing anything to get the shot. The photos turned out beautifully.
After the wedding though, we learned how lucky we were to have chosen Erik. Believe it or not, Erik was the one pressuring us to contact him. He was finished with the photos long before we were ready to start thinking about them. His responses have always been immediate, even when it would take us several weeks to get back to him. He had our album finished almost immediately, and it is not an album, it is art. My husband and I love it. When we made suggestions for different photos to include, Erik made the changes instantly. If you have never worked with a photographer before, I cannot stress how rare this is. I have girlfriends who had to wait months before seeing their album, and they were constantly hounding their photographer to call them back. This was never the case with Erik.
To round it out, Erik is truly a nice guy. He delivered our albums personally to our home, and spent hours editing our photos. We are very confident in recommending Erik. He is very talented and his photos are amazing.

Words really can't express how happy we are to have chosen Erik as our wedding photographer. He is truly talented and has an eye for photography. From day one Erik was so accommodating, friendly and really easy and enjoyable to work with. The minute I met with him and saw samples of his work I knew we had to have him do our wedding. We did engagement photos also with Erik and they came out fabulous. We always felt comfortable having him around and by the end of the wedding, it was like we were having an old friend take our pictures! He's very laid back and easy going and knows how to make you just relax and have fun while you're taking the pictures. Going through the photos was like reliving everything from our wedding. He really captured the emotion and feeling of the day and All of our wedding photos came out amazing and beautiful and exactly how I wanted them. Erik really takes unique and different shots- and we have received so many compliments on the wedding photos. Our pictures turned out so beautifully! Erik Matey was just what we were looking for in a photographer. He met with us ahead of time to get to know us, and really took everything into consideration on the day of. For example, we had a specific list of formal pictures that we wanted to take quickly so that we had more time to spend with our guests - everything ran so smoothly and he "defended" the list when others tried to add to it. There were also many personal touches that we had put into the day for ourselves that would not have been noticed by just anyone. He was able to capture photos of these things and help us remember all of those special moments.
