I have been feeling conflicted about leaving a review for a long while. First, I will say that I like Ashley as a person and found her to be really pleasant the day of the wedding; however, after the wedding is a different story. We were promised our photos within 6-8 weeks and received them much later. She would continue to promise them one day and then we would hear nothing until we reached out again. There were a myriad of problems with sending the galleries and photos to us, she even said she sent us a jump drive, we never received it. I’d say we received 1300+ photos and less than 30% are actually useable — there were no photos of our room or table decorations, the room set-up, sweet heart table etc. All critical things that I sent in a list. Many of the photos are overexposed and the lighting was just off. I explained to Ashley before the wedding where we were getting married and described the lighting and she assured me she could handle it. The photo touch ups seemed haphazard as many of them were dark, had people in the background in our posed shots, and again the lighting is off. The back and forth with Ashley was just so exhausting that I gave up until I enlisted my brother-in-law for help with touch-ups since he is a professional photographer. He has been asking Ashley for the original photographs and I have been checking in w her as well. She assured us she would send what we asked for...we have yet to receive them.
She has literally ghosted us. We aren’t asking for much, we just want the original photos so we can do the touch up ourselves and try to salvage some of the pictures. The lack of communication throughout this process has been disheartening, I didn’t expect perfect photos and am willing to let a lot go, but there is no excuse for this type of unprofessionalism and lack of transparency. Wedding photographers play a critical role during a wedding and we definitely felt treated as an afterthought and will never get back the missed moments.
