We found Alive Photo Studio on Wedding Wire. I fell in love with their photos on various platforms. I wasn't impressed with our resort's photographer/videographer profile and capturing our special day was extremely important to me! Our resort had increased our outside vendor fee to $1,000 per vendor, but the price difference was pretty minimal (even with the vendor fee). Don't be scared to negotiate with your coordinator/resort about your vendor fee. They tried to charge us $1,000 per person we brought in, but we ended up just paying the 1 vendor fee considering photography/videography is the same vendor under the resort.
Alive Photo Studio was great at communicating with us prior to the wedding. We had two scheduled FaceTime calls, which made us feel more at ease hiring a company outside our country. On the day of the wedding, the photographers/videographer showed up on time and were amazing throughout the entire day. Our photos/videos turned out even better than I could have ever imagined! Every one of our family members/friends cannot believe how stunning our photos and videos are. We have had multiple people tell us they look like stock or magazine photos. However, if you go on this business' website, ALL of their wedding albums look like this. Their attention to detail is outstanding, and they are the nicest people!
Regardless of what your vendor fee is, HIRE Alive Photo Studio! I promise you will be amazed! -

I am so grateful to have found the Alive team! I was drawn to their style of photography and reached out. Marian was so sweet and took the time to setup an initial zoom consultation to go over my vision- and then another call closer to the wedding with my planner and photographers. So professional and thorough. The photographers were such a pleasure to work with and pleasant which is important since they basically hang out with you all day! I can’t recommend them enough and wow, my photos look like a work of art. They captured our wedding day so beautifully and I am so grateful! -

Working with Marian, David and Nestor was one of the best decisions we made! Marian was super responsive and professional from the moment we booked and having David and Nestor there the capture our big day was perfect. They took fantastic photographs, were professional, and made sure we were comfortable and had a great time! So happy with the final results! -

Rebeca Sent on 02/28/2015I first found the photographer Nestor will on vaca and my husband proposed. We went ahead and did engagement photos while there because we felt so comfortable with him. They turned out fabulous.
Upon choosing Cancun for the wedding, there was no other choice for capturing my special day then Nestor and his team. He and I stayed in constant communication and went over the details of the wedding . I had no worries the day of the wedding, he was professional and very thorough. His attention to detail was able to capture our perfect day incredibly. We also did the trash the dress in a cenote and got magical photos.
We just celebrated our anniversary and look back and love our photos.

My husband and I were absolutely blown away by our beautiful wedding pictures that ALIVE Photo studio sent to us. They were breathtaking! Our photographers really captured these memorable moments of us on our wedding day that we won't ever forget. We couldn't have asked for a better company to work with. They were reliable and on time. They were so nice and made us feel so comfortable. Their prices were very reasonable. We would definitely recommend them to any of our friends or family members needing a photographer! -

We loved working with a Alive Photo Studio. Our wedding pictures were literally a dream come true. Everyone of my guest and family members raved about how great David was and how he was always there to get the good shots. I love just looking at our gallery and reminiscing on our absolute favorite day. Hopefully next year we come back to Mexico he can take anniversary photos for us. The pricing was very good for the amount of time he was there… My one complaint was that he did not get any bridal portraits of me. That is also my fault because I did not remind him and it slipped my mind so no harm no foul. I would absolutely book with this vendor again. I love love love our photos so much I could not be happier. I have never seen such beautiful wedding photos and I’m so thankful that they’re all mine thanks to David -

The Alive Studio team was extremely professional and talented. We were so thrilled we decided to hire them for photography and videography. We got married at Moon Palace and it was totally worth the vendor fee to have Alive shoot for us.
We were greeted with professional. Their artistic liberty was able to capture our vision. We had so much fun shooting with them that it didn’t feel like a photo shoot session.
We received our photos and videos and were amazed of how well everything was captured. Their deliverables were outstanding!
We are able to relive the best day of our lives cause of Alive.

Amazing Work!

Espectacular!!!
Decidimos casarnos en Riviera Maya y no nos gustaron las fotos del proveedor de fotografía del Hotel, busque quienes eran los Top fotógrafos de allá y encontré a Alive Photo Studio! Desde la primera llamada senti tanta calidez, me senti tan comprendida y apoyada por Marian desde el primer momento, me dio tanta tranquilidad y paz ( casarse en otro pais genera mucho stress e inseguridad porque los ultimos dias te das cuenta que no conoces todos los detalles). Luego de que Alive me ayudo tanto adaptandose para que pueda tener exactamente lo que yo queria el dia de mi boda, vino mi reunión con el fotógrafo que fue fantástica también! Hicimos click el minuto 1. No tengo palabras para describirles la quimica y lo natural que me senti con David todo el tiempo, era como si lo hubiera conocido de toda la vida. Las fotos y el video estuvieron fantásticos! Hermosas fotos y además llenas de vida!! Captaron todos y cada uno de los momentos importantes de ese dia tan especial. Los recomiendo al 100% encontrarlos fue lo mejor que me pasó!! -

ALIVE Captured the True Beauty of our Special Day!
ALIVE Photo Studio was our wedding photographer for our destination wedding at Dreams Sands Cancun and to say we were impressed by David Rangel would be an understatement! The whole ALIVE team really went out of their way to be sure they captured our wedding day perfectly, and we really couldn’t have been more pleased with how beautifully the pictures turned out! Not to mention their communication and our meeting leading up to the big day were excellent. David was the lead photographer and his awesome personality, eye for photography, in combination with his skills meshed so well with us and how we wanted our special day to be photographed. Wow. Is one word to describe Sarah and Martin at Alive studios. We could not ask for a better duo and company to photograph our wedding. They made our wedding feel magical and a dream come true. If you’re looking for photographers for you destination wedding I would not recommend anyone else. Wedding Celebration
We booked ALIVE studio for our wedding originally scheduled for May 2020 and due to obvious reasons had to change this. They were fantastic and flexible, allowing us to modify our package based on the changes we had to make on more than one occasion. We finally held our wedding celebration in Mexico on July 16, 2021. We met David at Cenote Tankah for our first round of pictures. He immediately was able to put us at ease with his friendly demeanor along with his assistant. David was able to find the perfect places for our pictures, with great lighting and the beautiful water behind us along the rocky shore. David then took us to the cenote, to have some photos in the water. Even though my wife could swim, and I could not, he was able to make it work. He kept us comfortable the whole time by joking with us, making us laugh and relax. It was initially awkward for us to have someone taking pictures and having us pose however he kept us laughing and genuinely comfortable. In addition, we had another session at the resort with our friends and families. Once again, he kept us smiling and relaxed through the whole process. He even got some of the kids to laugh and smile when they typically do not. ALIVE studio has a great photographer in David. Our pictures are amazing. Thank you so much David and ALIVE studio for making our wedding celebration amazing. We whole heartedly recommend them for future pictures in the Mexico, Riviera Maya / Cancún area. Thank you again for making our memories last a lifetime with these amazing photos. -

Alive photo studio and their photographer Daniel were simply amazing to work with . From flexibility with rescheduling to day of shoot they made everything so flawless and stress free . We took our photos in tulum at Azulik and they came out stunning . I can’t say enough good things about them but I highly recommended them for your wedding day and engagement photos . I have received so many compliments on my photos and I owe it all to them . Thank you so much and looking forward to the wedding !!! -

Great experience with too many great pictures
We hired Alive for our photography and videography needs for our November 2020 Cancun wedding. We got a hour coverage with our wedding package at the resort but I wasn't crazy about their quality from what I could see online so decided to pick a outside vendor. We couldn't have been happier with Alive. My husband's biggest complaint is that our house is now covered in wedding pictures since I honestly cannot pick favorites. All of our pictures came out stunning. The communication with this team is also outstanding. I had an issue with how I was sent our pictures, and was immediately contacted back with an entirely new platform they had been working on. It was so much easier and flexible to use. Amazing customer service! -
