One of the absolute best decisions we made was hiring our photographers, Ches and Heather. They were fun, calm, and incredibly talented, which mattered a lot on a day that ended up being a little chaotic thanks to rain. Instead of adding stress, they helped turn it into something truly memorable. They knew the resort layout and best photo spots immediately, pivoted effortlessly when weather shifted, and kept everything moving without making it feel rushed. Our photos are stunning, full of emotion and joy, and somehow still feel very “us.” They also turned around our gallery unbelievably fast and even shared some fun Instagram content right away, which was such a bonus.

For comparison, we did use the in-house resort photographer for our rehearsal dinner, and while that was fine, the difference in quality, creativity, and overall experience was very noticeable.

We are beyond grateful to have had the privilege of working with Ches and Heather for our wedding. From the moment they arrived, they fit so seamlessly into our day — it never felt staged or forced. THESE TWO ARE AMAZING!!! I can’t say enough great things about Ches and Heather. From the initial call, where they plotted out the whole day, to the communication leading up to the big day, to the day of, they were all over everything and made sure everything was perfect and they captured all the moments. They took the time to get to know us, and if felt like we had our friends with us the whole day! Not only is their work stunning, they were able to capture our personalities and made the whole experience super relaxed and comfortable, and every single picture was perfection. Even out guests commented how awesome they were, and they spent the night on the dance floor with all of us, capturing every fun moment of our wedding. I cannot rave enough about how amazing it was working with Quetzal. Ches and Alvaro were so great to work with and their work was absolutely stunning. When I tell you I never like any photos of myself and LOVED all the photos that were sent to us, I am not exaggerating. They were sent to us so quickly and we were so incredibly happy with their work. All our guests talked about how amazing they were and all who have seen our photos are blown away. I discovered their work through Instagram and can honestly say they were the best choice of our wedding day, other than each other of course 😊

When planning our wedding my fiance and I had a very particular image we wanted to use for our invites. I saw wonderful reviews about Quetzal from a Facebook group and decided to reach out to them to see if they could capture our vision. Not only did they find the perfect location for us to capture our picture, but they went above and beyond. The weather was not in our favor when we were visiting Mexico. They suggested we move our appointment to the next day and were flexible to reschedule to get the best images. Unfortunately, the weather never really let up and we had a flight to catch. Heather kept in constant contact with us to update us with the best windows of time to make it happen. Due to the weather, we were late meeting them, and they were so sweet and patient with us. We were so happy with how the entire process went, and with the location they picked to match our vision. We will be using them again for our upcoming wedding!
