We had our wedding at Hotel 1928, and it was absolutely everything we dreamed of. From the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception, the team at Hotel 1928—especially Brooke—went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Brooke was there to troubleshoot during the rehearsal and had everything set up for us so we could visualize the space and make any last-minute changes. That level of preparation and attention to detail really set the tone for the rest of our wedding. Our ceremony was held in the ballroom, and after the ceremony, guests moved to Bertie’s, the rooftop bar, for cocktail hour while the ballroom was flawlessly flipped for the reception. The hotel also catered our wedding, and the food was incredible. We had a hard time choosing our menu because everything was so delicious. Day-of, they served two different desserts for our guests (a special touch!) and even surprised everyone with a late-night snack of chicken tenders, fries, and house-made black garlic ranch. We started the day getting ready off-site, then checked into the Washington Suite to finish getting ready and take photos before the ceremony. The suite was perfect—spacious, picturesque, and ideal for first-look photos and private vows. The hotel even prepared a charcuterie board for us to snack on while getting ready, which was such a thoughtful touch. Having a private dinner for just the two of us after cocktail hour and before the reception was a highlight, and I highly recommend it to any couple. Brooke and her team took care of everything—linens, dining ware, helping with the layout, and even offering to make our programs, drink signs, and menus (which were customized to match our style). They truly thought of every detail, and everything was spotless and organized throughout the day. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and our guests appreciated the discounted rooms and valet parking options. Hotel 1928 may be on the pricier side, but the service, experience, and level of care you receive are unmatched. It’s truly worth every penny. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a single thing.

My daughter was married at the end of December at the Johnson Taylor House on the grounds of the Earl Harrison property. It was perfect! The ceremony was outside on the surrounding grounds under the massive old trees and the reception was held in the house and attached hall. The beautiful old home is a perfect slate for decorating and the hall functions great for a reception/dance. Georgia and her staff were unbelievable to work with and everything was executed flawlessly! I would highly recommend the Earl Harrison property for a beautiful wedding or event!

The First United Methodist Church of Waco, Texas is a beautiful and spacious facility. The alter in the sanctuary is made of a gorgeous glassy, black marble. This marble is what was left over after the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC was built. It is the only other place in the world that this type of marble exists. The rest of the interior is equally beautiful: the stained glass windows of the sanctuary are some the most colorful and intricate in the state; the red carpet gives the large room a sense of welcome and intimacy; the enormous cross behind the alter is humbling, yet surprisingly simple in its presence. The ministers and staff are very friendly, helpful and accommadating. Mary Chambers acts as liasion and wedding coordinator for the church. She is exceptional at her job, very reliable and professional. The church also provided many decorations, including the unity candle and stand, candelabrum, candles, lighters and all the elements for communion. My only "causion" is that they are very stict about the kind the music that can be played during the ceremony. Only hymns or classical songs are allowed, and still must be approved by the head music director. Note: For NON-members, the use of the sanctuary for the ceremony is about $2000.

We had a wonderful experience with the Palladium! Chris makes it super easy has everything included in the price. He was willing to work with us on when we got in to the building to set up and was on call while we were there in case we needed something. He's a pro with events and gave us some helpful tips about the layout of the room. We ended up having about 275 people and it was pretty full but everyone fit! The tables, chairs, table clothes, etc. were all in great condition. It was all beautiful!
