Gathering Oaks Retreat is a serene and secluded wedding venue located on 30 acres just outside of Waco, TX. With a variety of onsite lodging, it is the perfect place for your friends and family to gather and stay during your wedding weekend. As a bride, enjoy the simplicity of having everything and everyone you love in one place, with space for the rehearsal dinner, bridal luncheon, ceremony, reception, Sunday brunch, and overnight accommodations at Gathering Oaks Retreat! To keep your wedding weekend private, you are required to rent all the rooms on the property for a two night stay. All package pricing includes the venue and lodging accommodations for up to 50 guests for the weekend. You can invite additional day guests for a max of 200 total guests.

Intimate outdoor weddings are our specialty! The grounds are beautifully landscaped, providing multiple outdoor wedding options, and a natural picturesque setting for weddings set among towering oak trees and lush greens.With on-site parking spaces available, Gathering Oaks Retreat is delighted to provide you with a selection of spots for your special day. They can host wedding ceremonies on acres of Oaks or in the courtyard surrounded with string lights and vintage pavillions. Enjoy a vacation rental experience with ammenities including use of pool/hot tub, courtyard games, turf grass event space, pavillioins. fire pit, walking trails, put put green and sports court.

Services Offered

Gathering Oaks Retreat hopes to make your celebration an event to remember. Therefore, they provide on-site suites for you and your wedding party to freshen up for the big day. These suites are available for you and up to 50 traveled guests to stay in. Tables and chairs for up to 100 guests are provided and set up the day of the ceremony.

10/10 -- Amazing Venue

I wish that I could give this place more than 5 stars. We had our wedding here the weekend of 10/8 and it was absolutely perfect.

We are from Houston, and there is NOTHING like Gathering Oaks in our area. All of our friends and family asked us "Why Waco??" and it was strictly because of how much we love this venue.

After touring a couple venues in our area, we realized that we didn't want our "Day" to be over so fast. We wanted a place where all our friends/family could stay the night and still "be together" after the reception ended without having to figure out logistics back to a hotel, etc.

There are so many options on the property where you can choose to have your ceremony, dinner, reception. We had our ceremony/cocktail hour in the Courtyard area, and our reception under a tent near the wooded area. It was such a great choice because once dancing started, the "older" crowd would migrate to campfire area away from the music. I loved walking around and seeing groups of people enjoying the entire property.

The staff is soooo accommodating and responsive. Rebekah helped answer all my questions and went above & beyond to assist and accommodate all of our needs. A huge shout out to her!

We got so many compliments on the venue. It's decorated so tastefully and the amenities are endless. They are constantly making improvements, as well. We were able to add on an additional cabin to give our guest's more privacy.

We did not have one issue the entirely of our stay, and I cannot recommend this venue more to any brides who are looking for a "destination wedding" vibe without having to get on a plane or leave the country.

Pure Magic

We rented the entire property for the weekend and had about 50 people stay from Friday to Sunday with us. The property is so charming and the entire team at Gathering Oaks seems like they trained at Disney because their customer service was spectacular. There were common areas to hang out in, a play ground for the kids and so many places on the property for beautiful photos. My whole family raved about the venue and the rooms. We will definitely be back for Thanksgiving or some other family function.

Perfect wedding venue

We could not have picked a better place to have our daughter's wedding. Everyone we worked with was so easy to reach with any questions we had. I loved everything about Gathering Oaks!

Great area with beautiful scenery and wonderful cabins and lodging.

Gathering oaks was a wonderful venue for us and our family during our wedding! It was perfect for a large wedding as well as would be for a smaller one too! We had approximately 230 people there with about 60 people who stayed on site all weekend. It had great air bnb’s near by as well to help host others who needed to stay.
Great option for a get away wedding tucked away in the country with a pool, hot tub, and some beautiful views.

If looking to have a wedding on their tennis court and wanting a band, be aware there is not enough electricity to support a full band, and lightning. We had to rent a generator to support full band. We also had to rent port-o-potty due to our guest number and septic tank considerations.

They were great to work with!

A magical weekend✨

We loved Gathering Oaks! The decor, feel, cleanliness, ambiance and the outdoor feel of it all, made the venue absolutely perfect. Lacy and Hannah are wonderful to work with, very responsive and plan ahead to make sure everything for our wedding weekend would go seamlessly. Hands down best venue in all of Central Texas, we highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.

Our experience at Gathering Oaks Retreat was perfect in every way. It provided exactly what we were looking for - an intimate setting where our family and friends could gather to enjoy wedding festivities amongst the natural beauty that the venue provides. Lacy and the team were amazing to work with - super responsive and accommodating, and they went out of their way to help us in every way possible. We seriously couldn't have imagined anything better!

From beginning to end, the process of booking, planning, and holding our event at Gathering Oaks Retreat was an absolute dream! It was the perfect venue for our wedding and provided a place for us to host many of our friends as family for the entire weekend. The owners are incredibly helpful and so nice to work with!
