Wedding Venues in San Marcos

We got married at Posey on May 16th. It was such an amazing experience at the hands of all the staff. They were super flexible and accommodating for what we needed throughout the day itself as well as the months leading up to it. The staff always answered my emails/texts with different questions/concerns. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone that asks!!!!!!!

We chose the Crystal River Inn for several reasons. It's location in the historic district and in perfect proximity to the San Marcos Square. The garden & the cozy rooms; that make you feel welcomed and relaxed. We expressed to Ms. Cathy, that we wanted cute, sweet, simple and elegant. Like a Fairy Tail, her and her staff granted our Wish. We didn't have to worry about anything. The food, OMG was delicious! The morning of our wedding they served poached pears, quiche with bacon and a sliced tomato covered with cheese. They catered the reception, we chose The Pasta Bar. Everything was fresh hot and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. All of our guests sincerely enjoyed their meals and went back for seconds. If you are looking for friendly customer service, peaceful atmosphere, delicious food, enjoy beautifully kept historic buildings, lovely Gardens and ponds. Then the Crystal River Inn is definitely for you.

Alan and I met at Saltgrass Steak House but that wasn't the main reason we chose them to cater our wedding luncheon. The main reason was Jason Byrd. We have known Jason to be an excellent manager. He's friendly, efficient and professional. Every meal we ever had from Saltgrass was exceptional. So, who else would we trust to provide a delicious meal for us and our guests. Jason's staff prepared delicious, HUGE chicken-fried chicken, steamed veggies, loaded mashed potatoes, gravy and of course, bear bread. The meal was talked about for weeks! The servings were more than ample, hot and fresh - though we live 20 minutes from the restaurant. A big thank you to the Saltgrass Steak House in San Marcos, TX ~ Oh, if you ever wonder if it's affordable, just give Jason a call. He'll deliver what you need for a price you can afford!

We are so thrilled to have had our wedding at Spring Lake at The Meadows Center for Water & the Environment!!! It was the most beautiful venue imaginable. We had our ceremony on the beautiful lawn, looking out onto Spring Lake. Then, for cocktail hour, we rented glass-bottom boats and our guests took tours of the lake. We had our reception on the roof. What a unique and wonderful place for a wedding! No wonder it is the longest continuously inhabited site in North America! Miranda was helpful and flexible as we planned, making her staff available for our needs and letting us use her tables. The San Marcos River is such a special place and the Meadows Center is the perfect spot to enjoy it. We love the history (it used to be a resort with mermaid shows and a diving pig), the natural beauty, and couldn't think of a better place to get married! Thanks so much to Miranda and everyone else! We had the night of our lives!!!

I was assigned a person that stayed with throughout my planning. From scheduling my dinner and appetizers food tasting to my set up and actual day. She was there in the morning and evening and l was thankful to have had a very beautiful and blessed wedding day.

The Wildflower Country Inn & Event Center exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding venue! From the quiet country atmosphere to the incredible staff, words can hardly describe how magical our 01/20/23 wedding was. We toured the venue during an Open House in early 2022 and we decided to book that same day. It was the only venue we toured, as we didn’t need to look any further—the Wildflower was everything we’d imagined. We decided to rent the Main House as well, where we stayed with our Bridal Party. I’m SO glad we did! It provided a much-needed respite and gave us space to just “be” with our people. We worked with Natalie during the planning process and she was amazing. She was energetic and so much fun to work with! She made the entire process easy to understand and ensured all the details were just the way we wanted. We hired Carley with Feverfew and Co. through the Wildflower to provide our bouquets, boutonnieres, and ceremony arrangement. The flowers were beautiful and were significantly more affordable than other vendors we’d looked into. We also hired Chelsea with Wild Weddings through the Wildflower to coordinate our ceremony music and as our reception DJ. Chelsea was very kind and communicative in the weeks leading up to our wedding (I’m sure I asked WAY too many questions); she made sure our ceremony ran seamlessly and kept the party going at our reception! Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and if I had to do it over again, I would choose the Wildflower every time. 10/10 recommend!

If you’ve ever driven by Texas Rock House, especially at night, you know how captivating the magical and beautiful scenery looks. The landscaping, cottage and house, rustic barn, and beautiful trees created the perfect scene for our outdoor wedding ceremony. The rustic barn matched our theme and looked so beautiful inside and out. It had plenty of room for our guests to eat during the reception, as well as the ideal dance floor size. We barely needed to add decoration since the environment itself provided such gorgeous ambiance. At night, each tree is wrapped with lights, completing the magical atmosphere, as well as creating some of the most gorgeous pictures you could ask for on your special day. Also, I could not have asked for a better day-of coordinator. Erin, the venue owner, went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly. She held meetings with us both in person and on the phone, to go over the timeline and every detail of the wedding day. The day of the wedding, we were ready to adjust to any unforeseen setbacks that may occur, as they do for large events, but due to Erin’s meticulous preparations leading up to the wedding day, and foresight the morning of, the whole day really was PERFECT! She was so helpful, professional, thoughtful, creative, and fun. I don’t know what we would have done without her. She made sure we had everything we needed to help make our day flow exactly as we envisioned it, made sure everyone in our wedding party was where they needed to be, and gave our photographer some helpful tips about great wedding shots. She even took some great photos of our wedding guests while we were off taking pictures which really completed the perfection of the whole day. I recommend Texas Rock House as THE best place to have your wedding. I recommend Erin as THE most outstanding wedding coordinator for her unparalleled services.

Seriously the best people to work with! I got the honor of being the first wedding there and had an amazing experience! My husband and I were blown away by the breathtaking hill country and fields in the backdrop of our ceremony! The tent was perfect for a dreamy nighttime reception! Not to mention a beautiful renovated cabin for our cocktail hour! Our guests all raved about the venue and many of my bridesmaids have asked about getting married there because they loved it so much! Ashley and Jason are incredible to work with and worked well with all my vendors to make the day everything I could have hoped for and more! They are truly passionate about creating a space for lifelong memories! If your interested in a dreamy wedding in the Texas hill country, you have to check out this venue!
