Our wedding experience was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we first stepped onto the property, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. The setting is absolutely breathtaking—nestled in the rainforest with stunning views of the ocean and city, surrounded by lush flowers, nature, and the most peaceful atmosphere imaginable. It is truly one of the most unique and beautiful venues we have ever seen. We planned a 115-person destination wedding from New Jersey while the venue was in Puerto Rico, so choosing a venue and team we could trust was incredibly important. From day one, the owners made us feel like family. They were responsive, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping us create the wedding of our dreams. We had regular planning calls, received recommendations for amazing local vendors, and always felt like they were working behind the scenes to make sure every detail came together perfectly. What impressed us most was their professionalism and attitude. Although we were their very first wedding, you would never have known it. They approached every challenge with positivity, flexibility, and an incredible willingness to help. The owners and their entire family poured their hearts into our wedding and treated it as if it were their own. Every interaction was met with kindness, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to make sure we felt supported and cared for throughout the process. The value was exceptional. Not only was the venue affordable compared to many other wedding venues we considered, but the experience we received far exceeded what we paid for. We were able to rent the property for the entire weekend, host our closest family and friends on-site, and fully customize the space to fit our vision. They helped us utilize flowers grown on the property, connected us with trusted vendors, and gave us the flexibility to transform every corner of the venue into a personalized experience. We never felt pressured into unnecessary expenses and always felt that they were helping us make the most of our budget. On the wedding day, the entire team was all hands on deck. They made sure guests arrived comfortably, kept everything running smoothly, checked in throughout the evening, and handled countless details behind the scenes so that we could simply enjoy our day. Everything felt seamless, and we were able to be fully present with our family and friends because we knew we were in good hands. If you're looking for a venue that offers stunning natural beauty, incredible value, unmatched hospitality, and owners who truly care about bringing your vision to life, I cannot recommend this place enough. They gave us the wedding weekend of our dreams, and we will always be grateful for the love, care, and dedication they poured into making our celebration so special.

El Convento accommodated over 100 guests in the Salon Campeche for our wedding reception, and we are still fielding compliments about it! We are thankful to Gabriela Cortes and Nelia Sanchez for tag teaming the tons of correspondence we exchanged between December and June; as well as to Fabiola Cruz, who took us on a walkthrough of the space just two days before the wedding since we were not able to visit any sooner. HEC is a national landmark for good reason. It is beautifully maintained and operated by a highly capable, professional team. Their positive reputation is well-earned, and with them, your wedding is in excellent hands. My only regret is that we were up so late packing and so tired after the wedding that we hardly got to enjoy our complementary stay in the Pablo Casals Suite! All the more reason to come back soon. Lydiette was the event coordinator for the Royal Sonesta for our Wedding. We had a destination wedding and she was so helpful and communicative about the whole process . She was able to set my mind at ease with the whole event any questions I had she was able to answer with professionalism and she was very knowledgeable. She was able to help us make decisions and help our vision come true and it was exactly what we imagined. The day of the event she was very punctual and was great about coordinating and keeping everything on a great time line along with the captain . The Wait staff was absolutely incredible with our guest . The food was top tier and I still have guest raving about the food and drinks couldn’t have had a better experience ❤️ the hotel is incredibly beautiful

We had a small vow renewal on the beach and everything was perfect followed by dinner inside. The food was to die for and had so many compliments. They were on point with service and helpful in every way

Tuvimos una experiencia inolvidable en el hotel. El hotel está hermoso y totalmente remodelado. La comida es deliciosa. Sus empleados son sumamente amables y detallistas. En especial, quiero mencionar a su gerente de catering Mariela, es un ser humano excepcional que nos trató con una calidad humana increíble, siempre buscándonos la vuelta para complacernos en todo. El hotel tiene un plus con Mariela. Graciassss Mariela por todo. Un abrazo!

Our wedding at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar was an absolute dream come true. Rebecca and her assistant Paola were incredibly attentive and ensured that every detail was executed flawlessly. With around 30 guests, it was the perfect intimate wedding and easy to plan. We did not have to have a wedding planner. The venue's recommended vendors list provided by Rebecca, was very helpful when it came to choosing vendors to work with for our wedding day, contributing to a seamless and memorable event. Rebecca and Paola took care of everything the day of, including handling vendors when they arrived. We had our ceremony in the Marbella Garden, which provided a picturesque backdrop that exceeded our expectations. The reception at the beach deck was equally breathtaking, offering panoramic views and a serene ambiance that perfectly complemented our celebration. The only downside was the distance of the bathroom from the beach deck area, which was a bit inconvenient. However, this minor inconvenience was overshadowed by the overall beauty and service provided by the Wyndham. The attentiveness from the staff was unmatched, there was never a time they weren't making sure we were all set. The food was amazing and the bartender always made sure we had a drink in our hand, which we appreciated! We were treated like royalty from the moment we checked into the hotel until we checked out! We are immensely grateful to Rebecca, Paola, and the entire team at Wyndham Grand Rio Mar for making our wedding day absolutely unforgettable. Their dedication and professionalism ensured that we could relax and fully enjoy every moment of our special day, which we did! Thank you so much! We look forward to celebrating at the Wyndham in the future!!!

Recently had my ~60 person wedding in April and couldn’t have imagined a better day! Throughout the months of planning, both Halle and Priscilla were thorough, quick communicators and transparent throughout the entire process. The food and decor details were fantastic, and there was still room for our own touches to the wedding. Halle and Priscilla are open to any and all suggestions. The price was around what we had expected. The weather was perfect and did not rain at all! Overall, fantastic location, amazing coordinators and a once in a lifetime perfect event!
