Excellent service
The Royal Sonesta team including Wanda Torres were very responsive. Initially I had a difficult time getting ahold of them but once I made contact with Wanda she made sure I was comfortable with all the arrangements. I booked about 15 rooms for family and friends for a discounted price and they all enjoyed the nice facilities and the pool. The “paseo tablado” was closed for repairs unfortunately which was my original plan for the ceremony so we used the “plazoleta” and it was perfect, especially for a hot summer day. Wanda arranged a food tasting prior to the wedding with my parents and treated us like royalty. The food was awesome with a good variety to choose from the menu. The day of the wedding we had our own personal server making sure we had food and drinks through the celebration. We really enjoyed the next day at the pool with the family. The location of the hotel is super convenient, 5 minutes drive from the airport. The price was reasonable compared to other hotels in San Juan and Isla Verde.

Stunning hotel and staff
Lydiette was the event coordinator for the Royal Sonesta for our Wedding. We had a destination wedding and she was so helpful and communicative about the whole process . She was able to set my mind at ease with the whole event any questions I had she was able to answer with professionalism and she was very knowledgeable. She was able to help us make decisions and help our vision come true and it was exactly what we imagined. The day of the event she was very punctual and was great about coordinating and keeping everything on a great time line along with the captain . The Wait staff was absolutely incredible with our guest . The food was top tier and I still have guest raving about the food and drinks couldn’t have had a better experience ❤️ the hotel is incredibly beautiful

Our Destination Wedding at The Intercontinental, San Juan
The hotel was a beautiful location for our wedding. The ceremony was on the beach, the cocktail hour in the gardens, and the reception on the boardwalk. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the whole thing came together thanks to Joel Perdomo the Social Events Sales Manager. Our destination wedding was a success, in great part, due to all of the staff at the hotel.

I just had my wedding at the Intercontinental and it was worth every single dime! First, the service. Any review you read about this venue should mention the service. You are truly treated like royalty the minute you even pull up to the entrance. Second, the execution is seamless. From the moment I checked in, I didn’t worry about a thing. Joel Perdomo, made my husband and I and all our guests feel like we were the centers of the universe! Whatever we needed, he was right there to get it taken care of. Our wedding ceremony was right on the boardwalk. If you want a quiet walk down the aisle and super intimate ceremony, this probably isn’t the place for you. My husband and I along with our guests, enjoyed the attention from the other guests haha. The reception and cocktail hour, however, were VERY exclusive and intimate. The staff was great. The food was amazing. And the drinks were AWESOME. As the venue is right on the beach, our guests were able to wander out to the beach and come right back in and continue partying. They also stayed at the hotel (most of them) which made it a smooth transition when the open bar really started flowing haha. An important note is that this venue has a salon downstairs. The ladies who work there (looking at you Susan!) are AWESOME. Very kind, patient and welcoming. They took great care of myself, my mom and all 6 of my bridesmaids and made us look gorgeous on the day of the wedding. My stylist did an amazing job and I’m forever thankful for her. Overall, I highly recommend this venue! They’ll take great care of you!
