We had a small vow renewal on the beach and everything was perfect followed by dinner inside. The food was to die for and had so many compliments. They were on point with service and helpful in every way

I had my destination wedding here and I came from Virginia, U.S. I have a lot of PROS and CONS to say about this venue.
Let's start with the PROS:

1. The cost per person and open bar is budget friendly.
2. I communicated initially with Myrna then I got handed over to Vanessa, both who were soo responsive throughout the 3 month process of my planning.
3. They do have good customer service. For example, there was a miscommunication about the Entrées they offer versus how many options my guests will have. We came up with a compromise and they accommodated my requests.
4. Embassy Suites is attached to Aquarius Vacation Club, which is a cheaper option for your guests in terms of hotel room prices. They both share they same amenities such as the pool area etc, so that was convenient.
5. I liked that they have a casino in the back for entertainment for your guests.
6. I like that they are only 30 minutes away from San Juan, and they are also not so crowded with tourists or spring breakers like San Juan. I had my wedding on Spring Break. Their location allowed my guests to conveniently take a taxi/uber to San Juan to party, but also relax away from too much tourists and lack of parking in San Juan.

CONS:
1. The biggest negative was that they did not follow the contract which states that the reception area (Galeria North) will be ready for decorations by 8am on my wedding day. My wedding ceremony was not until 4pm, but I needed the reception area to already have linens on the tables so my family and I can decorate at 8am. I actually showed up at 9am to give them more time. But when I showed up, Carlos who I believe is the assistant manager was not even aware of the contract for that day, and he had a hard time contacting Vanessa, who is my main contact for the wedding who is the one who reassured me that the reception will be ready by 8am. Instead, Carlos informed me that Vanessa is not scheduled to come to work until 12pm. This ruined my wedding day timeline. Vanessa ended up coming in to work at 10am, and I instructed her what needs to be done ( even though this was already discussed multiple times prior to wedding day). Instead of Vanessa getting things done, she then later on introduces me to a new lady who I am supposed to give the same instructions again since Vanessa did not explain anything to this new lady. This whole thing was such unnecessary stress on my wedding day.

2. Rehearsal: Vanessa also reassured me that someone will be there at Embassy Suites who will greet me at rehearsal (day before the wedding day) and show me around Embassy Suites. There was no one. Luckily, my wedding coordinator has already been to Embassy Suites before, so she was the one who gave me a tour.

3. You have to pay for parking $12-$14 daily whether or not you are staying at the hotel


4. The beach where you can have your beach ceremony isn't private. So you will possibly have sunbathers next to you during the ceremony. The sunbathers on my wedding day refused to move away. So you can see them in the background of my photos smh.

5. There is no privacy when the bride walks towards the beach or the wedding ceremony area. You have to walk through where the pool is, where everyone else is wearing bathing suite relaxing, while you are in your wedding dress.

6. Embassy Suites asked me to sign some papers in the middle of my reception after I had already consumed alcohol. That process should change given that no one should be asked to sign anything when you have been drinking. Smh.

In the end, we still had a great time at the wedding. While the hotel rooms are on the pricey side, the wedding cost itself I feel as budget friendly. If they can be more on top of their game and actually follow through the contract, then I would recommend them.
