I fully recommend having your ceremony at the Stanley Theatre. My guests were SO impressed with the historic beauty of the venue, and I am SO proud to say I was married there. Nichole is so helpful, caring, thorough and professional, and she even helped calm me down ahead of time. She coordinated everything so smoothly and professionally. Jerry is a friendly, approachable guy and they fit us in quickly while we were there for an impromptu visit. The guy who sets up the chairs and equipment was so helpful and responsive, even though we changed our minds a few times about how to arrange things!!! They even let us use some beautiful antiques from the basement to help with the decor (which you really will save money, because you barely need anything to decorate this space- it's absolutely gorgeous!) One tip if you get married here... make sure you get a Photographer who is exceptional with lighting. The lighting is very dim and there's not a lot of natural light, so you need someone extremely talented to work with the artificial light. We used Edward Dai from NYC and he curated elegant pictures that really captured the beauty of this amazing space. For some reason, The Stanley isn't considered by very many people, but I really think we had a PHENOMENAL value for our money... it doesn't cost as much as you would think to have your ceremony there. We're SO glad we did.

I had my wedding reception this past Saturday at the Doubletree in Downtown Utica! To say it was exceptional is an understatement! From the food to the staff, our wedding day went off without a hitch....Maria was our coordinator and she went above and beyond for us in her service!! We would highly recommend having your next gathering at the hotel. It was perfect!! We have received so many compliments from our guests that they had the best time!

171 Events was the perfect venue for our special day. If you are looking for a cool and unique canvas to create your dream day this is it! It has a neat urban vibe but also felt elegant. Christine and her staff were amazing and helped us every step of the way to execute our vision. The Bridal suite is incredible with the perfect backdrop looking out on historical Utica. The building itself has many cool photo opportunities and is located in the heart of downtown Utica surrounded by many amenities to accommodate guests who are staying over or coming from out of town. Hotels, nightlife, restaurants and a sweet coffee shop located right on the first floor of 171 Events! Whether you are looking to have your wedding ceremony, reception, showers, birthday or private event, they have it covered.
