Comfort Island was a dream setting for our August wedding. Stephen and his team worked closely with us and our planners to bring our vision to life. The property has so many beautiful, distinct spaces that every part of the day felt like its own little vignette. We got ready in the historic bedrooms, did our first look on a bluff overlooking the river, and before getting dressed, our wedding party even snuck in swims at the beach, which set such a joyful, easygoing tone for the day. Our ceremony on the side lawn was breezy and cool on a hot summer afternoon, followed by an open-air dinner on the wraparound porch perched above the river. Later, we moved down to the lower lawn and gazebo for dessert and dancing, and ended the night with a tour boat pulling into the docks to whisk everyone away on a catered afterparty cruise down to Clayton. There is truly nothing else like this location in the 1000 Islands. Comfort Island gave us a wedding day that felt deeply personal, timeless, and completely “us,” and we are so grateful to Stephen for opening his incredible home and creating a place where memories like this are possible.

Riveredge is a beautiful setting for anyone looking to have a wedding in the 1000 Islands. The views are beautiful and the staff is very courteous. Sue, the event cordinator is attentive and highly experienced. She made our wedding perfect! Thank you Sue and the staff at Riveredge for making our special day unforgettable!

Beautiful setting, exactly the look we were going for, for our low key, relaxed, rustic country wedding. Everyone was great to work with, especially since we live across country. Only thing I would recommend is getting more fans to circulate air flow. We are from Florida, so we are use to heat, but guest from NY were getting toasty. Otherwise a great venue!

I grew up in Northern NY but now live in another state, but there was no doubt in my mind that Boldt Castle had to be my wedding venue! The gorgeous Thousand Islands and a romantic castle, I couldn't ask for a more romantic setting! The staff was fantastic throughout the whole process, from our initial meeting through the entire wedding day. It rained the entire day (everyone kept telling us it was good luck!) and the staff was super accommodating, moving the chairs to the patio and making sure we had everything we needed. Our officiant was concerned about where to sign the marriage license since it was raining, and the staff made sure he had a nice, quiet place to complete our paperwork. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, and despite the rain, we still took advantage of the entire island for pictures. I was worried about tourists interrupting the ceremony, but the staff did a great job keeping us in a private area until we were done, and having all of the other visitors taking pictures of us and wishing us congratulations was actually really fun! It meant a lot to get married in the area where I grew up, and the staff and venue just made it an absolutely magical day. My husband and I can't wait to go back every year to celebrate and relive the fantastic day!!

When I contacted Uncle Sam's Bout Tours for a wedding reception on board their boat, I never imagined that I could get such an affordable package on such a beautiful location. I was immediately directed to Terri with Happily Ever After, who is their wedding planner/coordinator and everything went seamlessly from there. Terri's planners fee is included in the charter fee. And you don't just get a wedding venue, you get an Angel that plans EVERYTHING and makes everything run smoothly. Coodos to Uncle Sam for snagging Terri's services. I do not think it would be the same without her. Beautiful day! Very elegant, "limo-like" boat. Very smooth with amazing tall windows for views of the Islands during the cruise. Highly recommend!
