I had two weddings (Cambodian and Western) and Genna and Maria did hair and makeup for both. They arrived early for the Cambodian ceremony (5 am!) and managed to accommodate my cousin, who originally wanted to do her own hair and makeup. Everyone's hair and makeup stayed flawless for all ceremonies, which lasted until 6 pm! I am also not a morning person but they kept us all laughing; as my cousin said, it was like having my own personal comedy duo. The next day was a little more relaxed and the hair and makeup STILL lasted all day and night, which is huge, because I spent most of my night on the dance floor. I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup, and everything felt very natural. Important to mention: Maria has curly hair and knows how to work with big textured hair. I'm not sure about New York, but I live in San Diego and this is incredibly rare. Genna uses more natural-based makeup, which is what drew me to her in the first place. Also, even with airbrush makeup and false eyelashes, everything was very inexpensive. I tried a couple of other places that were double or triple the price and the makeup didn't look as good or last all day. I am so glad I found Genna and Maria, and I know my bridesmaids and the moms feel the same way!
