Mansion Wedding Venues in Buffalo

From the second we walked through the door, me and my husband knew that “this was it”. We had toured 6-7 venues before we saw Samuel’s and once we walked in, we never looked back. The Venue was so easy to work with! They were willing to try and accommodate everything, there was no question or idea that was off limits. Other Venues had answered our ideas with way too many “no’s”/“no you can’t do that”/“no we can’t do that”. Samuels was always willing to work with us to make our dream wedding come true. The staff we worked with was also awesome. Mark- has a passion for making your wedding day great and he KNOWS how to host a good party, he’s been doing it for a very long time. The food was amazing!!! We were a little worried since they didn’t do a food tasting but they told us they knew what they were doing and their food was good. Yes, they do know what they’re doing and yes, the food for 235 people was phenomenal. The pricing was very straight forward, they don’t “nickel and dime” you. Even their cheapest packages have all the things that you would pay extra for at other venues. It also made things much easier that they supply food and bar, so that’s not an extra stress to coordinate for your wedding day. I loved it so much, I hope to one day attend somebody else’s wedding at Samuel’s so that I can “live it again”. We have no regrets at all!

We had our reception at the Belhurst castle (main ballroom) and grounds in September last year, and having it there was easily one of the best decisions we've ever made. Our search criteria for a reception were a bit contradictory - we wanted to have a wedding somewhere that (a) had history, ideally stonework as opposed to anything "cheaper" and potentially tackier, (b) with plenty of room for an outdoors gathering but enough room indoors to party, and that was (c) within traveling distance of New York City. And all of this (d) on a reasonable budget as well. Based on all of the above, I honestly didn't think we stood a chance of finding any option that wasn't a scam or that wouldn't try to up-sell us the second we signed a contract. Yet my fiance (now-wife) persevered, and got in touch with Sharon at the Belhurst Castle in the Finger Lakes region of upstate NY. Sharon alone is what I'd define "a delightful powerhouse". She's an incredibly patient communicator who exchanged something in the neighborhood of 50-100 emails with me, not to mention half a dozen calls and at least 2-3 in-person meetings over the course of 8 months, to make sure we were well taken care of from the start. We connected with her and discussed our budget for a reception, and unlike most coordinators she was 100% upfront from the start about any expenses we should expect. If you've been searching for a venue, you know that one of the biggest headaches is simply getting a straight answer about "can I have a wedding reception for X guests with Y budget" from their event managers. Sharon and her team were both friendly and informative for the entire planning process, and made sure we felt well taken care of every step of the way. The Belhurst itself is gorgeous. Huge green lawn overlooking the lake, with a dock just begging to be used for group photo ops. An actual CASTLE in Upstate New York, complete with a Tower Suite and other storied rooms for guests and newlyweds. Two ballrooms, that can fit both big and small wedding parties. Google the pictures, what you see online is what you actually get in person. The food they made for our wedding was also excellent, and again budget-wise they have plenty of options to choose from to fit your wallet's availability - both for the appetizers and passed hors d'oeuvres, and for the main meal. Still licking my chops thinking about the lamb that we had at our tasting session with Morgan and Sharon a year ago. In terms of lodging, besides the fancier and slightly more expensive options in the Belhurst castle itself, there's also plenty of rooms at the Vinifera inn on the same property grounds - and lots of even cheaper but still good hotels in the nearby area within a 5-10 minute drive if need be. All I wish we could do is hit repeat and relive the day we had in Geneva - and celebrating our reception at the Belhurst was a huge part of that. Still can't quite believe we managed to do this - I live comfortably enough, but am by no means rich and went into this without expecting a ton of financial support by friends or family. And yet my spouse and I were able to plan and achieve a gorgeous wedding here, without sacrificing quality at all. This place is a gem - if you're within half a day's drive, do yourself a favor and check them out if you're hunting for the perfect place to get hitched and celebrate with your family and friends.

We had so much fun on our wedding day. Any requests we had were met with excitement and flexibility, and you can tell Kris and the team simply care and really enjoy coordinating weddings. Sonnenberg is such a unique and beautiful space and we will look forward to returning as the years continue. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Do not hesitate to book The Wadsworth Homestead for your next celebration! Will Wadsworth and his staff went above and beyond to give us all that we hoped for when planning our daughter’s wedding on VERY short notice due to time constraints regarding military leave. The Homestead is not only a beautiful venue but also an experience for your guests as they take a step back in time. The Caledonia Inn catered a delicious meal! Our guests could not stop talking about the quality and presentation of the food. Will, thank you again for your attentiveness and willingness to make Chelsea and Joe’s wedding day a beautiful memory! You were a huge help to us from beginning to end!

My husband and I did a ceremony for our 15 year anniversary, I’ve planned a lot of events including my actual wedding, The level of service here was top notch. Nothing can compare to how much the staff cared.

The Glen Iris Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding. We fell in love with the Inn and the park on our first visit but what really sealed the deal was how wonderful and knowledgeable the coordinator (Denise) was. She was so helpful and it was clear from the moment we met her that she is incredibly experienced and great at what she does. We didn't always know what questions to ask and we were definitely one of her more casual couples but she was on top of everything and kept us organized. She was also very flexible during COVID - helping us reschedule, working with us to reserve rooms for our mini ceremony even though we didn't have it at the Inn, answering all of our questions and guiding us along the way. She helped us with our complicated room reservations and very kindly changed things around for us last minute when I had a loss in the family. The day of the wedding the staff were so helpful and friendly. Everything was set up perfectly and they kept the day flowing smoothly. They worked with our vendors to take the stress off of us. The food was excellent and we heard more than a few guests raving about it. The setting doesn't get any better - amazing views, incredible waterfalls, picturesque photography sites, and overall just a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. We held our ceremony in front of the Inn and our reception in the tent afterwards and both were perfect. The staff helped us clean everything up at the end of the night and the Inn delivered pizza and wings to our cabins for the "after party". I would highly recommend Denise and the Glen Iris Inn to anyone looking for a beautiful (and organized) event.

We booked the George Eastman Mansion West Garden for our first look pictures and couldn't have been happier with the setting. The grounds were gorgeous, the wisteria was in full bloom, and our pictures in front of the brick were stunning. It was an added bonus to have the West Garden, as there were some shade options and our wedding day was very sunny!

I felt like an absolute princess on our wedding day! I fell in love with this venue immediately after touring and knew it was the one! Everyone was so helpful and amazing to work with! Huge shoutout to Sherrie for making our day/night absolutely perfect! I didn’t have to invest in too much for decorations because the venue itself is so beautiful! I couldn’t have imagined a better way to symbolize my husband and I’s love for each other. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience here for our wedding in June 2024! The staff was great on the day of the wedding and Raquel was so helpful while going through the planning process! We received a lot of compliments from our guests about the food/drinks and everyone had an amazing time! Highly recommend having your wedding here, it’s a beautiful venue! ❤️

My daughter got married here and it was beautiful and the overnight accommodations are wonderful and convenient!
