We can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience with Derrick. We were lucky to have him take our engagement photos and then capture our wedding day alongside his amazing assistant, Jen. From start to finish, Derrick was responsive, professional, and unbelievably talented. He has an incredible knack for being in the right place at the right time, capturing not only beautiful candid moments but also creative, unique shots no matter the setting. Beyond his artistry, Derrick has a calming presence and effortless organization that made even the whirlwind moments, like squeezing in photos before the ceremony and during cocktail hour, feel enjoyable instead of stressful. We never once felt rushed; instead, we were able to be present and soak in the beauty of those moments even more. His photography speaks for itself. Every image has a natural elegance and timeless quality that truly sets him apart. But what makes Derrick exceptional is more than just his skill with a camera, he is a genuine, hilarious, and kind person, which made working with him an absolute joy. You can tell that this isn’t “just another wedding” for him; he truly cares about his couples and their experience. Throughout the day, he checked in to make sure we didn’t need anything (a drink, a tissue for our tears, a pep talk), all while effortlessly capturing unforgettable moments left and right. Of all the vendors we worked with, Derrick was hands-down one of our very favorites. Derrick, thank you for EVERYTHING! From the stunning session at The Langham to preserving the moments from our wedding day that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Kendra was perfect for our engagement. She remained professional yet also so so personable. She answered all of our questions in such a timely manner, and went above and beyond in every way possible before, during, and after the shoot. We both have crazy busy schedules and she accommodated us all the way through. One thing that stands out is that we were late to book a make up artist for the shoot and asked Kendra if she knew anyone, she said she’d reach out to people and within moments notice we saw on her Instagram story she was asking for make up artists! We also didn’t do our homework in what kind of poses to make, but Kendra still made us look candid and guided us through every step. She made pictures that we will keep forever. Would highly recommend her!!!
