Wedding Cakes in Chicago

Meghan and James are amazing! My husband and I don't really love wedding cake, so when we were planning our wedding we wanted to do something special and unique for our guests. When we found Dipsy Desserts online, we were hooked! Meghan and James were so easy to work with (kind, attentive and quick to respond) and even hosted us for a tasting in their workspace. It was so hard to choose our flavors, drizzles and toppings -- they were all incredible. Night of our wedding, our guests were obsessed. They could NOT stop talking about Dipsy Desserts. The ice cream itself, the adorable ice cream cart, and the service provided onsite was perfect. Meghan and James exceeded all expectations! 5 out of 5 stars.

Amy was so great to work with! She worked with us to create a small cake for our COVID wedding last year and the larger cake for our reception this past weekend. Both cakes were absolutely delicious on top of being beautiful! The cake tasting was such a fun experience and Amy was a joy to work with. All of our guests loved the cake and I cannot recommend her enough! My husbands grandmother told everyone about the cake in advance of this year because she loved it so much from the previous year!

My family has loved this bakery for a long time, and choosing them for our cake was a perfect choice. In fact, the cake was so good that there wasn't any left over at the end of the night! The cake was just as good as it always is in the store, and it was exactly what we wanted. We only wanted a plain buttercream over the cake with no decoration (our topper came with some matching decorations that we put on a layer of the cake ourselves) so I admit I don't have any feedback on the decorative appearance of the cake, but I was extremely satisfied with my service and the taste.

If you've never tried Chicago Cupcake, you should! They are essentially mini cheesecakes, and they are fantastic. We had 4 or 5 flavors at our wedding, and we had many guests tell us how much they enjoyed them. The price was reasonable, and you can either have them set up a display (on a table) or bring their food truck to hand out the cupcakes.

I had a black, white and red wedding. I have a rather lavish wedding and decided to scale back on the cake a bit. I did a basic white fondant cake with black fondant on the bottom of each tier. There were red roses dripping down the cake. We chose to have a red velvet cake so when cut into you would still see all 3 colors. Every single wedding guest came up to me and asked where the cake was from, because it was so amazingly tastey! It's hard to make an amazing red velvet cake, but la petite did an outstanding job!
