TL;DR - (estimates) Venue - $4,000 Soda + Alcohol - $2,000 Optional Extras - $6,000 Chris Chesnut - PRICELESS Look no further for painless planning/set up/tear down. I am SO happy my now husband found Events at Refinery when we were looking at venues for our wedding. I was disappointed in a location that looked perfect online, and we felt baited and switched. He was set on finding me a dream venue that included a coordinator with knowledge to guide my very stressed self. The Refinery was MORE than a dream come true. The venue itself is incredibly affordable, and then I balled out on the extras (Photo Booth, personalized monogram, decorated head table, concierge service, bar services, groom suite, extra hour, etc.) Not only is it a beautiful venue. Not only are there additional services and decorations to rent. Not only did they have on-site bride and groom suites. These are all huge factors that got us in the door, but Chris Chesnut is the gem that made us turn right back around after we left to book it. I think I talked my friends’ and family’s ears off with how many times I raved about him and called him a literal angel. And when they met him, they understood. I used the concierge service he offered to meet with several photographers, caterers, DJs, cake artists, and florists. He made the calls, set up the meetings, I showed up, we discussed, and he made the acceptance/rejection calls. He also suggested hair, makeup, and a hotel that offered shuttles. I went from a very anxious ball of stress to only a slightly anxious ball of stress. My family doesn’t “do” weddings, so I had no experience to draw from beyond Pinterest. Chris is so knowledgeable on every aspect of the planning, design, what looks good, etc. I asked him so many questions and he answered them quickly and never seemed impatient or made feel stupid for not knowing. Even questions about what colors looked good together or what a call drink was didn’t annoy him. Above everything, he’s happy and fun. I not only love him as a coordinator, but I love him as a person and I’m glad our paths in life crossed. When things would inevitably change or not go to plan, I knew I could look to him for a grounded center.

We had our wedding last month at Carmon’s. The venue itself is GORGEOUS, the staff was amazing, accommodating, and professional. They have the most beautiful tables, chairs, and floral boxes that come with the venue (and amazing staff that set them up for you) We had such a great experience and we are so lucky we got to have our wedding at Carmon’s. We would recommend them for any event!!

We wanted to book a venue at/near a hotel so that guests would have a place to stay - that didn't require driving (and buses to/from was an additional cost we didn't have in the budget). We couldn't be more happy with our decision to have our reception at the Hilton Garden Inn. Michael - the event coordinator was amazing to work with - he helped make my ideas a beautiful reality and made the process extremely smooth. The food was delicious and the entire staff the night of was fantastic. We have multiple guests comment on - and even personally tip - their waiters. The bartenders were also fantastic - and the late night event coordinators (that helped with clean up) were SO nice and helpful. Highly recommend this venue!

We couldn't be happier with I Hotel! The sales, events, and catering staff were all phenomenal to work with, and went above and beyond to make our wedding absolutely perfect. They were very responsive to all of our questions and made sure to have every detail before the big day so there were no surprises. Our overnight accommodations in the hotel were top notch, and the staff helped us load out all of our decorations the next morning!

The view from CityView is AMAZING! There is little need for decorations once the blinds are open! They have recently updated the lobby upstairs, which allows for custom lighting and a monogram to greet your guests! The staff is friendly and super easy to work with. One of their approved caterers is housed at the location, which makes it even better!

If you want a beautiful place to have your ceremony at in Champaign, University Place Christian Church is the place to go. Everyone was so nice at the church and helped out with any of our questions. Kay, the wedding coordinator, did and AMAZING job at rehersal and the day of the wedding to make sure that everyone was where they needed to be. The church itself is GEORGEOUS, in fact it reminds me of the church in the movie "Sound of Music". Thanks University Place Christian Church for making our specail day memorable! :o)

Not only is the venue perfect for any Illini fan, it is unique for all guests as well. The Colonnades Club was provides a little bit for everything - unique venue, great service, and plenty for everyone to do to enjoy a wedding. There is a great dance floor, outdoor seating overlooking the football field, and comfy seating for those who just wanted to relax. It really lent to a great wedding reception! I would recommend this venue!

This has to be the top wedding venue in Central Illinois! We got married three weeks ago and still find ourselves talking about how perfect the day was. We would highly recommend working with Miranda as the event planner; her assistance is worth every single penny. She is so organized and helpful, and anticipated all of the details we needed to address. No question was too silly and no detail was spared. The space (which is incredibly beautiful) is malleable based on guest count and we were given options for how we wanted the layout to be for our day. The staff was phenomenal and friendly, and our guests marveled at how well everything went. Miranda, Dan, Casey, and Greg were phenomenal to work with and communicated with us at every turn to make sure our wedding went exactly how we wanted it to go. My wife and I recommend The Venue CU at a 500 star level, but we're limited to just five. We are so grateful for the care we were shown, and we feel so fortunate to have found The Venue CU for our wedding.

The Orpheum is a gorgeous and historic venue that was exactly what we were looking for for our wedding. The inside is beautiful and they’re improving it by the day. We held our reception at the Orpheum for 125 people and we fit perfectly in the space. Amanda, who is the venue manager (and owns her own wedding planning company, Inspire Your), is fantastic to work with. Any idea we had, she had a solution for. She was proactive, detail oriented, and a great resource. We worked with a couple other staff members during the weekend of our event, Sarah and Justice, who were awesome. We were able to get in the day before to set-up and the day after to break-down. The day went perfectly and we had a great experience!
