CityView banquet and meeting space at Illinois Terminal is an elegant spot for your rehearsal dinner, wedding, or reception. CityView encompasses the entire fourth floor of Illinois Terminal at 45 East University. Hold your event on the north side, the south side, or both sides. The 360 degree windows offer an unmatched view of downtown Champaign and the University of Illinois.

Included in the rental rates are your choice of table setup as well as all equipment including a lovely piano, podiums and microphones, and a dance floor. CityView’s professional staff will work with you to make your event one to remember!

The view from CityView is AMAZING! There is little need for decorations once the blinds are open! They have recently updated the lobby upstairs, which allows for custom lighting and a monogram to greet your guests! The staff is friendly and super easy to work with. One of their approved caterers is housed at the location, which makes it even better!

Zero Communication

Begged the venue for a contract to sign, never heard back.
Asked for contract on Jan 12. Jan 16 was promised a contract by Jan 17. Heard nothing. I sent a follow up email on January 23. It's February 1st and I've heard nothing.
As far as the caterer, I met with her on Jan 4. She promised me a proposal no later than Jan 7th. Received the proposal on Jan 11 where she also requested to schedule the tasting ASAP. I responded that day saying we would discuss and get back with her that week. I responded on Jan 16th with dates and times we were available. Heard nothing. Sent a follow-up email on Jan 21. Didn't hear back until Jan 29th. Needless to say, we went with another venue.
