I am SO happy my now husband found Events at Refinery when we were looking at venues for our wedding. I was disappointed in a location that looked perfect online, and we felt baited and switched. He was set on finding me a dream venue that included a coordinator with knowledge to guide my very stressed self. The Refinery was MORE than a dream come true.
The venue itself is incredibly affordable, and then I balled out on the extras (Photo Booth, personalized monogram, decorated head table, concierge service, bar services, groom suite, extra hour, etc.)
Not only is it a beautiful venue. Not only are there additional services and decorations to rent. Not only did they have on-site bride and groom suites. These are all huge factors that got us in the door, but Chris Chesnut is the gem that made us turn right back around after we left to book it.
I think I talked my friends’ and family’s ears off with how many times I raved about him and called him a literal angel. And when they met him, they understood.
I used the concierge service he offered to meet with several photographers, caterers, DJs, cake artists, and florists. He made the calls, set up the meetings, I showed up, we discussed, and he made the acceptance/rejection calls. He also suggested hair, makeup, and a hotel that offered shuttles. I went from a very anxious ball of stress to only a slightly anxious ball of stress.
My family doesn’t “do” weddings, so I had no experience to draw from beyond Pinterest. Chris is so knowledgeable on every aspect of the planning, design, what looks good, etc. I asked him so many questions and he answered them quickly and never seemed impatient or made feel stupid for not knowing. Even questions about what colors looked good together or what a call drink was didn’t annoy him.
Above everything, he’s happy and fun. I not only love him as a coordinator, but I love him as a person and I’m glad our paths in life crossed. When things would inevitably change or not go to plan, I knew I could look to him for a grounded center.

I worked with Chris who was absolutely amazing down to the very last minute! He literally helped my vision come to life. He always made sure I met my deadlines and answered any of my 1000 questions. He was there for me when I was frantic and helped ease my worries. He worked greatly with a few new vendors I brought his way and made them feel welcome and made sure they had what they needed. Thank you Chris for making our wedding day not only look amazing but run with ease!! ❤️🙌🏼 I would highly recommend working with Chris at Events at Refinery to all the future bride and grooms out there.

We got married 08/14/21 and it was best. Day. Ever!!! They went above and beyond to make sure our day went perfectly! I will recommend Chris and the rest of the team to everybody!

Our daughter had her wedding reception here and every minute of that evening exceeded our expectations. I think that the main reason for the exceptional event was due to Chris. He was absolutely amazing and anticipated every need. He answered all our questions efficiently and kept our stress level low. We were a COVID reschedule so it seemed like we would never get to have our event but when it finally did happen we couldn't have been more pleased.

Where do I start?! Chris Chestnut is an absolutely AMAZING person and Events Coordinator!! From the very start of planning the reception to us walking out the door at the end of the reception, HE 👏🏻 WAS 👏🏻 THERE!!!! He’s reliable, beyond thorough, oversaw absolutely everything that had to do with the reception, even staying for the whole night!! He and his staff decorated everything sooo beautifully, and were extremely pleasant to work with!! The Refinery is a perfect place to have a reception, or any event!! 1,000 out of 10 our family would DEFINITELY recommend!!!!

The wedding reception was perfectly elegant. All was stunning. Working with the Refinery Team was a joy. The photo booth was a fun addition. I wholeheartedly recommend the Refinery for for a wedding reception or any event!

We were recently married and celebrated with a reception at the Refinery. We were so happy to work with Chris in planning the perfect day! He was very organized and offered great suggestions for making the details just right for a gorgeous set up. He took the decorations I gave him and created a beautiful entryway table for our guests to sign the guest book with no direction from me, and I couldn't have been more pleased! Chris offered his expertise in every fine detail down to helping me choose a napkin color that would look best with the centerpieces. My husband and I felt reassured that he was managing our event and knew that he along with his event staff would make it as beautiful as he would want his own to be, with our vision in mind. He set up a couple of meetings with us prior to the wedding date to go over details and talk with us about our options for upgrades etc, keeping in mind our budget. He was never pushy or made us feel like he was trying to take us for our money. In fact, we initially chose the Refinery because it seemed like the most organized and best deal of all the other venues in the area we had looked into. I really didn't want to be stressed about all the little details and set up/tear down on my wedding day, so having that all taken care of within their packages was wonderful. Chris also coordinated independently with our vendors to make sure that was a smooth process. The bartenders were friendly and worked their butts off making drinks and taking care of our guests. We even won two Yeti drink holders from the Refinery, which were perfect for our beverages at the wedding and on our honeymoon. Overall we had a great experience with Events at Refinery and would highly recommend this venue for a beautiful and stress free event.

I recently held a 350 person event at the Refinery and I can not say enough good things about the staff and venue. Chris is incredibly accommodating. The room looked exactly the way I envisioned it being. We used one of their preferred caterers and received tons of compliments on how great the food tasted. We made a few last minute changes and the staff never skipped a beat! I would recommend the Refinery to anyone that asked. Truly top-notch service and can't wait to host my next event there!

Coordinators were personal and very professional while attending to every one of my requests. The space was beyond beautiful and the atmosphere was so elegant! The staff took care of all the details to help make my ceremony and reception was a best experience of my life!!
