Dominique Sloper, our Events Catering Manager, stepped into our wedding planning stage after some hiccups and a change of staff. She is truly one of those people, passionate, detail-oriented, patient, with a dedicated work ethic rarely seen these days. Our wedding was a dream come true for our family, friends, and us. She managed it all from the gift reception details, menu, the flow, and even the layout from the ceremony to the reception. While meeting our budget and timelines, the staff was superb, all are dedicated to their guest' expectations. We will be eternally grateful for the cherished time we had at this venue. This was the perfect place to get married! It was exactly what we were looking for; a beautiful outdoor venue with a garden that doesn't have a ridiculous price attached; as well, a place that already has catering and sound system that you can use. I had such a good experience working with Sharon and Jollyne, they were both so kind and always willing to help me with any changes and additions I needed to make in the planning. They really helped me to feel at ease with a lot of the preparations and knowing that everything would turn out great. Their communication is great, I always received responses to my emails. However, just be aware when it gets to high season you may want to call vs email if you have a lot of questions, since it might take them a bit longer to get back to you. The food was also delicious! All of our guests loved the chicken and salmon, and they loved the desserts. I highly recommend the dessert option that comes with 5 desserts. I was also very happy the venue offered games to rent. This gave people a different way to mingle and to have fun, especially for those who don't care to dance. What also made Cambria Pines great is that they have a plant nursery. This is separate from the wedding event organizers, so you contact the nursery directly, but besides that they know what to do and where to put everything. Since it’s onsite there’s no travel fee. I loved working with Meghan! She did an amazing job on our arrangements. The flowers she chose and put together, looked beyond beautiful. It’s also extremely helpful that they have lodging. We were all coming from out of town, so not having to look for different hotels was great. Overall, my husband and I are extremely happy about our wedding. Every one of my guests went on about how beautiful the wedding was, not just for what we brought with us but because of the overall look of the venue. The Gazebo Garden is such a gorgeous place to get married in, especially in June when the flowers are in full bloom. It’s perfect for anyone looking to have an outdoor garden wedding that also feels a bit woodsy.

Very nice bed & breakfast. Beautiful & inexpensive venue for a small wedding or even a get away. Charming, magical with a positive energy. We had our wedding in the garden. It was very natural & beautiful with its flowers white butterflies & small creek below the garden. It was drizzling (coastal area) & and then the clouds opened up & it was sunny for the ceremony. Two sisters run the inn and were very kind & helpful. The only draw back was the yellow jackets. Normally during this time of year its too cool for the bees & such (but everything went well & the bugs behaved). ;0)

Stepladder Ranch is a one of a kind wedding venue! As a florist who’s seen many venues, nothing compares to the views that stepladder has. Not only are the views amazing but so is the whole experience. From baby goats, gorgeous bridal suites, and super fun reception space Stepladder truly has it all. I was in complete awe the entire time touring stepladder. If you’re a couple looking for something unique, romantic with stunning views, Stepladder is the venue for you. Did I mention the views?!

Huge shoutout to Erin, Nicole, and the entire Camp Ocean Pines team for one of the best weekends of our lives! We struggled for months to find a wedding venue that fit our vision of environment, togetherness, fun, and creative freedom…until we discovered Camp Ocean Pines in Cambria! This venue has it all: gorgeous ocean views, sweeping monterey pine backdrops, various intimate and configurable spaces for event locations (ceremony/cocktail hour/reception, etc.), on-site cabins for you and your guests, and activity spaces throughout the property with an included hour of target sports facilitated by the staff! The best part - Camp Ocean Pines is available to rent for the entire weekend so you and your guests can enjoy each other’s company and get the quality time that can feel so scarce in a typical 8-hour event. Camp Ocean Pines even has an on-site kitchen, and they’ll provide the rehearsal dinner, reception dinner, and the day-after brunch! The food was delicious, and it took so much weight off our shoulders to have the camp take care of the food so we didn’t have to. The Camp staff was incredibly helpful and collaborative throughout the entire process, and we were so grateful for the opportunity to strategize with such wonderful people. The Camp is centrally located on the Central Coast, so it’s easy for your guests to access the beach, Fiscalini Preserve, and Cambria only minutes away from the property as well as so many other amazing spaces within striking distance (Hearst Castle, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Big Sur, etc.). Camp Ocean Pines is truly an amazing place, and we have heard again and again from our guests how deeply they enjoyed our event in part due to the magical nature of the property, the surrounding environment, and the beautiful mosaic of amenities that the camp provides. If you’re looking for an amazing wedding weekend, look no further than Camp Ocean Pines!

My husband and I had visited the Squibb House for one night several years ago after a trip to Yosemite. I'd made the reservation in our tent the night before on a whim, am SO happy I did. We fell in love with the bed and breakfast immediately and before we left inquired about if they hosted weddings. The bnb has two buildings, a Victorian Squibb House and the Black Barn, which is so gorgeous and built by the owner, Bruce. We visited several times over the next couple years and talked about planning the big day with Karin a little more each visit. Karin is a total dynamo, she runs the bnb and is one of the kindest and coolest people you'll ever meet. She is easy to work with and made sure we had everything we needed on the big day! The day of our wedding was more than I ever could have hoped for. We hosted 55 guests, which was perfect for this intimate venue. The ceremony space and courtyard where we had the reception were both arrestingly beautiful, and made even more so with floral arrangements from Cambria Florists. Everything detail of the day was simple, relaxed and absolutely elegant. Everyone agreed that the food Karin prepared was top notch and several of our guests told us it was one of the loveliest weddings they'd attended. This is such a special place for Ian and I and we can't wait to celebrate anniversaries here for years to come.
