We had our wedding reception here in March 2026 and everything was incredible! It was a quick walk from the Santa Barbara Courthouse, where we had our ceremony. We loved that the venue is naturally stunning with the lighting, tables, chairs, and wood paneling on the walls. It made it easy to not have to worry about those extra rentals. They were so easy to work and communicate with. After I hired my coordinator, she took over communication with La Amada which made it even easier! They worked together well and if there were any hiccups, it was unbeknownst to me. For dinner, we chose the Salmon, Chicken, Caesar Salad, and Asparagus from Little Bird. And for dessert, we chose to do the ice cream sandwiches from Rory’s instead of a cake and that was the star of the show! We are still hearing from our guests about how great the food was. The staff was incredible, they checked on us multiple times throughout the evening (without interrupting or overdoing it) to make sure we had everything we needed… food, drink, water, etc.

We got engaged in August, and married by November, thanks to a last minute cancellation. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we knew this was the place. Bella Terra is absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained grounds, thoughtfully designed spaces, and the perfect balance of elegance and warmth. Joelle went above and beyond every step of the way. Communication was clear, professional, and reassuring, which made the planning process so much less stressful. On the wedding day itself, everything ran seamlessly. Our guests are still talking about how gorgeous the venue was and how smoothly the entire day flowed. From the ceremony to the reception, each space felt intentional and magical. The photo opportunities were endless, and the atmosphere made our day feel incredibly special and personal. We are beyond grateful we chose Bella Terra for one of the most important days of our lives. If you’re looking for a place that combines beauty, professionalism, and genuine care, this venue is truly exceptional. And last piece of advice, rent the house, it’s totally worth it.

My husband and I weren’t looking to have a big wedding. We wanted courthouse and a small reception, but then we came across this little gem and that all went out the window. We took a tour, immediately fell in love with the views, and booked the same day. We were married on July 28, 2019 and as you can expect it was super hot during the ceremony (provide water and fans), but it made for perfect weather during cocktail hour and the reception as the sun went down. The staff made everything so easy for us which was great because we got married only 5 months after getting engaged. Claire and Ulrich especially were so accommodating and available anytime we had questions. We were married on a Sunday and what’s great is you can reserve the entire property for the weekend to have friends and family stay over in their 12 little cottages. Another plus is it’s right up the hill from the Ranch House, an amazing restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner. We had our ceremony on the Pink Moment terrace, cocktail hour in the Waterfall Garden and the reception up on the Mountain View terrace overlooking the amazing Topa Topa mountains. Everyone raved about the views and we’re surprised they had never heard of it. There are so many great spots on the property to take pictures. Ours came out stunning and the lighting was so good. Tried to include pics to show all the cool spots. You will need to bring in all of your own vendors at this venue which I preferred bc it allowed me to shop around. I could not recommend the Ojai Inn and Retreat more.
