I have to admit that I wasn't sure at first if we needed a wedding coordinator- we had a small wedding, an inclusive venue (at the Boonville Hotel), and just a few vendors to manage... but Zoe and her team brought so much more than simple logistics management.

Thoughtful, professional, and creative, she helped make our wedding feel effortless and deeply considerate of both our experience and our guests' experience!

They recommended excellent, local vendors that both delivered stunningly beautiful florals, desserts, etc. and a unique north coast vibe that made our wedding feel precious and unique! They thought through all the details, transitions, and surprise moments of our day and executed with grace!

Day of, Zoe and Sarah ran the show without a hitch. We were able be present with our guests and truly enjoy the sights, flavors, dancing, and special moments with friends and family that they helped coordinate!

We would choose them again 100 times over!

Hiring Zoe was the single best decision we made in our entire wedding planning process.

We planned our wedding in Mendocino from across the country. My husband and I both organize complicated events for work, so I figured we’d be fine. It turns out that being able to plan a wedding and actually enjoying it are two very different things. More than once I was ready to give up and elope. I honestly don’t know how we would have done it without Zoe.

Zoe can keep the whole picture in her head and still track every tiny detail it takes to make it happen. More than that, she really listens. She never tried to turn our wedding into something we didn’t want. She figured out what mattered to us and then found a way to make it work.

When she did offer an opinion, we learned fast to listen. She was so willing to go along with our ideas that when she pushed us in a different direction, we knew there was a good reason. She was right every time, and by the end we trusted her completely.

The wedding weekend itself is where she and her team really showed what they can do. After months of decisions and logistics, my stress disappeared the moment we got to Mendocino. I knew Zoe had thought through everything and would handle whatever came up, and for the first time I could just let go and enjoy it.

We had a pretty complicated, multi-event weekend, and I’ve never been to an event that ran so smoothly. We were actually ahead of schedule on the wedding day! Hair and makeup, photos, transportation, setup, and transitions all just worked. I’m sure there was some improvising behind the scenes, but we never saw it. Her team was lovely: calm, warm, and easy to be around, and they made a huge amount of work look easy.

On a personal note, I care a lot about details, I have strong opinions, and I ask a lot of questions. Zoe never once made me feel difficult for it. She took what mattered to me seriously, and over time she gave me the confidence to let some of it go.

Because of her, I didn’t spend my wedding weekend managing vendors or worrying whether it would all come together. I got to be present with our friends and family and marry my husband. The wedding was better than I’d hoped, and I’m a little sad we don’t have another planning meeting with Zoe on the calendar.

Zoe is excellence personified. We hired her as our "partial" planner for a destination wedding that included a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, and reception. I put "partial" in quotation marks because the label fails to capture how integral Zoe was to the success of our weekend and how supported we felt throughout the entire planning process. Here are just some of the ways she excels.

First, Zoe has deep expertise. As my fiancé and I shared our wedding vision — which largely took the form of spitballing half-baked ideas — Zoe offered thoughtful advice on how to bring it to life. She was always supportive and collaborative, focused on how we could accomplish our goals rather than whether they were possible. She knows, and has worked with, all the venues and vendors in the Mendocino area, and she steered us toward those best suited to the event we wanted. Every vendor she recommended was talented, thoughtful, and kind, and it was clear each one held Zoe in the highest regard and loved working with her.

Second, Zoe is meticulous. She knows everything (I mean every last detail) that needs to happen for a successful event, and she makes sure it does. Our venue required bringing in numerous outside vendors and substantial rentals, and Zoe coordinated all the moving parts so that everything came together in harmony. It was as though she conducted an orchestra that, despite never having rehearsed together, performed brilliantly on opening night. Our already high expectations were quickly surpassed as we moved from event to event, each one more beautiful (in every sense of the word) than we could have imagined.

Third, Zoe is resourceful and creative. She doesn't just coordinate; she gets her hands dirty. As one example: just a week before our event, when we realized we needed more decorative elements for our western-themed rehearsal dinner, Zoe proposed hay bales from the feed store. Then she arranged the rental herself and delivered them to our venue personally. They turned out to be an inspired choice. Some of our favorite photos from the whole weekend are of us sitting on those hay bales, laughing as our friends toasted us.

Finally, Zoe is a wonderful human being. From our very first meeting, her warmth and enthusiasm were obvious. Throughout the planning process, she showed genuine excitement for us as a couple and for our weekend. On the rare occasion we felt a flicker of anxiety with a vendor, she was quick to reassure us and fix the issue. And on the wedding day itself, she was every bit as essential. Her joy was palpable even as she handled a thousand details behind the scenes. We received glowing feedback from our friends and family, many of whom singled out Zoe by name. Even during the event, guests came up to tell us how lucky we were to be working with someone so exceptional. We couldn't agree more.

In short, Zoe is in a league of her own. The only bitter note in an otherwise perfect wedding was knowing it meant the end of our working relationship with her. I guess we’ll have to find more events to plan!

Sarah Sharaf of Zoe Braga Events was truly the only way we could have pulled off our wedding in Westport! Beyond being a literal delight of a human, Sarah is incredibly communicative, creative, and knows every vendor you could possibly imagine. She was very hands-on and brought extra materials that really elevated the overall look of our wedding.

She also hired a wonderful team to make it all happen - everyone was kind to us and our guests, thorough, and deeply professional. Our location was pretty unique, and no one in the area had done a wedding of our size (75 people) on the field we used, but Sarah absolutely pulled it off. We never saw any of the behind-the-scenes chaos - only the ease and joy she brought to the entire process.

Leading up to the wedding, Sarah was easy to reach and great to communicate with. She provided helpful tools to keep everything organized and worked with us to create a clear, manageable timeline. On the day itself, she was exactly the energy we needed by our side - a cheerful, calming presence to start the day, and by the end of the night (even through exhaustion), she was still incredibly thorough in making sure everything ended up exactly where it needed to go.We would highly recommend her for your event!
