Whether you’re hosting your bridal shower, rehearsal dinner or ceremony and reception, the York Harbor Reading Room welcomes you. Their seasoned event professionals will assist you with planning and setup, and this venue offers in-house catering and bar services. Catering services include options for hors d'oeuvres and cocktail receptions, as well as buffet, stations, plated, family-style and French service dinners. Servers are also available on staff, and outside cake is permitted. The in-house bar can accommodate most requests, with options for house beer, wine and liquor as well as specialty and premium options. Their bartenders are able to serve a champagne toast, and can assist in crafting a signature drink to treat your guests to. All dinner items, including linens, china, and glassware, are available in-house.

History
The summer residents of York Harbor founded the York Harbor Reading Room in 1897, renting a cottage on Mason’s Hill in which they could gather while spending time there in the warmer weather. Twelve years later the space was too small to accommodate the growing group of members, and the clubhouse as it stands today was opened in 1910. This venue is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
