Purpoodock Golf Club is a picturesque wedding venue in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, just a few miles from Portland, South Portland, and Scarborough. Located on 188 acres of landscaped lawns, couples can enjoy colorful gardens and a natural wedding venue.
Facilities and Capacity
At Purpoodock Club, couples will be able to host up to 140 guests in the Spurwink Room. You can choose to celebrate every stage of your wedding journey here, from engagement drinks to wedding showers, rehearsal dinners, and more. The main Spurwink Room boasts a private entrance, wrap-around deck, large windows for natural lighting, an overhead sound system, beautiful dormers, and views of the golf course and gardens. For a more intimate dining experience, couples can host up to 40 guests in the Fireside Room which features a fireplace, large windows, and leather seating.

Amazing!
Purpoodock Club was so helpful when we ended up in a bind from another venue. Emily was so helpful and always quick to respond. The venue is absolutely gorgeous! We had such a great wedding day thanks to all the people who work here!

Dream Wedding at Purpoodock
Purpoodock Club is the best wedding venue- the staff is outstanding, the food is delicious, the club, the course and the views are beautiful, and the venue cost is reasonable. Emily Cole, the event coordinator, is incredible. She was responsive, organized and so helpful the entire time from when we booked the venue right up to our wedding day.

The best value in the Portland area!
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Purpoodock Club on October 5, 2019 and it was one of the best decisions we made. The event coordinator, Emily Cole, was so responsive and accommodating from beginning to end. I was able to be so present and relaxed on the day of, knowing she would take care of anything that needed to be done. I trusted her to set up tables and decorations in the space with little to no guidelines and she did an amazing job. We loved having the outdoor deck in addition to the indoor space, especially with the gorgeous fall weather on our day! Our guests raved about the food, drinks and service. We also hired Emily to make a welcome sign and seating chart and they were perfect. We can't say enough and would recommend the Purpoodock to anyone looking for an elegant, but affordable venue with an incredible event coordinator!

September Wedding & Rehearsal Dinner
We had our September wedding and rehearsal dinner at Purpoodock, and worked with Emily Cole, their events coordinator throughout the planning process for both. The venue is gorgeous and versatile, and Emily was amazing to work with! She was always prompt and thorough, and when I had ordered WAY too many flowers, she did such a beautiful job scattering them throughout the space and really making it beautiful. My (now!) husband and I agree that working with her was a highlight of the whole process, as everything came together so seamlessly, and exactly the way we wanted it. Purpoodock itself is beautiful, with a lot of options for portraits, and the deck was perfect for an intimate, sunny ceremony. Also: their food is amazing, and friends raved about it. We can't say enough good about our experience, and will recommend it to everyone!

Extremely good value! Beautiful venue.
We were absolutely blown away by our beautiful wedding at purpoodock. Emily the coordinator was wonderful to work with. She helped us every step of the way and is extremely professional. She did an excellent job decorating both our ceremony and reception space. She was aware of every detail and helped out any way she could (including picking sticks out of my dress after the first look haha).
The food at purpoodock was delicious - our guests were raving about it the whole night! They were also able to accommodate gluten free dishes. Emily had a plate of apps brought to our bridal room so I could eat while they were doing my bustle.
We strongly recommend purpoodock ... they were worth every penny!
