My husband and I got married at Wormwood in May 2025; it was the honor of a lifetime. Wormwood is the most beautiful venue, offers the best food, provides San Diego’s best cocktails, and employs both the most professional and kindest wait staff we have ever encountered. Leading up to the event, Chef Omar, a world class chef, and Lukas, General Manager extraordinaire, helped us coordinate the logistics, tasting menu, and worked directly with our day-of coordinator.
The most honest review I can leave is sharing part of our thank you note to the Wormwood team.
“The appetizers, the absinthe tasting station, the entrees, the rain, and the cocktails all felt as though they were dusted with magic. I was told by no fewer than four friends, who have lived around the world, that Wormwood served them the best food and cocktails they have ever enjoyed. Our nieces, friends, family, and I had the best time dancing with the sweetest staff in the rain.
All of these details, and more, were created by magic. But the magic was Lukas, Chef Omar, and the team working hard behind the scenes. It was your kindness in pivoting from the plan that made it even more memorable and perfect. We love Wormwood, we love your team, and we are honored and love that our marriage started in San Diego’s most beautiful restaurant.”
