My husband and I had a winter wedding at Woldumar. It was amazing! The Barn was beautiful and the Woldumar staff was great. The event coordinator Victoria Churchill was helpful and on top of things throughout the whole process. The Woldumar staff had everything set up and ready for our big day. I would definitely recommend this venue.

We got married at Woldumar on October 14th, and had a wonderful experience. Some of the highlights for us were:

1. The beautiful decorations in the reception barn, while still having plenty of space for personalized touches.
2. The professionalism of the staff, answering any questions, making sure our tables and chairs were set up right, and working hard to fix any unexpected issues the day-of.
3. The bridal getting-ready suite, which was plenty large enough for a 6-person bridal party.
4. Having the outdoor deck space available for guests to use during the cocktail hour and reception
5. We were originally planning to have the ceremony outside at the amphitheater, but moved it into the reception barn because of the weather. It worked perfectly, and having a rain backup is a must for any outdoor wedding in Michigan!
6. Knowing that the extremely reasonable booking costs are supporting the wonderful work of the nature center.

We had ~110 guests, which felt like the perfect amount to fit comfortably inside and have plenty of room to enjoy the space. Overall, we'd recommend Woldumar for any future events!

Victoria met with us nearly 2 years ago to book our wedding. She was so helpful when we needed to push the date out a year and I'm so glad she's back. She is excellent at keeping us updated and making sure we have all the information needed. The packages changes slightly after we booked and She was more then willing to make sure our original package was honored. She helped light candles day of which was a small detail for her but a huge one for us and our guests.

When we started to plan our wedding, we gave ourselves a bit of a challenge. First, we would only have three months. And second, we'd need to plan most of it from California. Woldumar really came through for us. And I have to say that Victoria was especially amazing. She helped on so many levels, pointing us to great vendors, answering about a million questions, filming a video of the venue for us, even helping clear paths in the forest when a storm blew through and caused a lot of damage in the area. Also, the grounds and the barn are really beautiful. I feel like half of our decoration job was figuring out the best way to use the natural beauty that was already there. Choose Woldumar. You won't regret it.

We got married at Woldumar in summer of 2023 and we had a great experience. Victoria (the hospitality manager) did a great job helping us get everything setup according to our specifications and the space is beautiful. We did our ceremony at Walnut Glen, the outdoor amphitheater and it was so beautiful and special. You do need to bring your own arbor/arch to get married out there, but they provided a nice podium for the officiant to use. We did our reception in the barn and it was gorgeous. All the lights on the ceiling were so romantic and whimsical. Be prepared to sweat if you're getting married in the heat of summer like we did, but overall this place is so special (and affordable) the sweat is worth it.

We were looking for a low key but pretty venue, and this was exactly it. The barn is a beautiful backdrop, and a blank canvas to decorate just how you want it. We had to move our ceremony inside and it worked great even with that.

We got lots of compliments from the guests on the space and how well it held our crowd of about 120. There was plenty of room for a band, we just moved a few tables to expand the dance floor later.

Victoria was fantastic to work with-- super flexible and made sure everything was how we wanted it on the day. She's also doing a great job making little updates to the barn, the bridal room in particular is so cute and has plenty of room to get ready. The updates are really bringing out the potential so this spot is only getting better with time.

They're open to pretty much any caterer/bartender, which helped a lot with budget and let us have exactly what we wanted for dinner. Overall, a great choice!

We had a beautiful Woldumar wedding on 10/10/2020! We were so worried with COVID restrictions being unpredictable, but everything worked out great! Woldumar managed to give us the wedding we wanted while enforcing COVID restrictions. The nature center was beautiful in the fall. So many great spots for wedding photos! Our guest list was small enough to hold our reception in the barn, and we were very happy with how everything looked inside. The staff of Woldumar are very helpful and really made sure everything went smooth. Especially Victoria, who is really great to work with. We would highly recommend this venue!

Absolutely gorgeous venue! Highly recommend adding the photo tour to your package. It is well worth it. Victoria was incredibly kind. Helped us create alternative plans for rain and the pandemic.

The venue is beautiful and Victoria has so kind and helpful with every question we had and every problem we came across. With covid-19 a lot of obstacles came up and we were able to work through everything with the help of the staff here. The photo tour takes you to all different parts of the nature center and makes for gorgeous wedding photos. Truly the wedding of my dreams

I cannot recommend Woldumar Nature Center enough! Victoria is an absolute dream to work with and every aspect of planning our wedding with her has been seamless! We, unfortunately, had to cancel due to COVID-19 and they were so understanding and graciously refunded our deposit! While we are sad we had to cancel right now, we will absolutely be using them in the future for a rescheduled wedding! Their flexibility, reasonable pricing, gorgeous grounds are enough to make anyone want to book here but the added bonus is the support of the nature center! LOVE them!
