About this venue
The Lumberyard Event Center is a historic wedding venue located in Wayland, Michigan that serves couples all over Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing and South Haven. This unique lumberyard was established in 1898, and is currently being restored by the Shepherd family. Their mission is to go above and beyond your expectations in making your wedding-day dreams come true. The Lumberyard Event Center looks forward to providing a memorable experience for you and your loved ones.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples can accommodate up to 250 guests at this rustic yet elegant venue. For your ceremony, you can say your “I do’s” outdoors in their beautiful garden. After you exchange your vows, your guests can move into their gorgeous event center for cocktails and dinner. This spacious venue boasts romantic lighting, exposed wood, amazing rafters, and plenty of space to dance the night away. They offer lots of vintage and rustic decor that you can use as you see fit. Sample items include centerpieces, drapery, furniture, chair covers, and more. There’s also a holding kitchen for the caterer of your choice.

This brand-new wedding venue lets you bring in your own outside vendors for a truly unique affair. If you need help finding a caterer, The Lumberyard Event Center has a list of recommended caterers they stand behind. They have an on-site bar complete with bartenders, ensuring your party will continue all night long. You can bring in your own alcohol to cut down on costs. Their rental fee includes tables and chairs, along with plenty of parking for you and your guests. There’s also a bridal suite on the property, where you and your wedding party can start your day.
