Windy Hill Farm is a rare, special place with the kindest people caring for the land, especially Chiara and her mother Jane. The first time my now-husband and I went to tour the farm as a potential wedding venue, we fell in love with it. Windy Hill is a place with a soul. You can feel its loving history all around, the special way Chiara, Jane, other family members and stewards of the land really care for it and honor the land in memory of Jane's late husband Geoff. It feels magical to have been a small part of Windy Hill's story. We mostly interacted with Chiara on visits––who was generous beyond compare, answering any questions we had along the way, easing anxieties, and offering inspiration, advice, and encouragement in a gentle, caring manner––though everyone we met who works at Windy Hill was so welcoming to us and eager to help in many ways. We had the most beautiful outdoor wedding thanks to the landscape: the lovely fields, the goats, the trees, the dappled sunlight, the tastefully restored farmhouse, and the open-air pavilion. Windy Hill has beautiful handmade tables that offer a sense of warmth, comfort, and elegance for your reception. The twinkle lights were a magical touch as well as the linen curtains along the side of the pavilion. The reception space doesn't need any decorating because it's lovely as is, which is rare for a venue, though it's also fun to put your own touch on it and have it feel really unique to you, your fiance, and your guests. Our guests felt at peace on the farm, enjoyed the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour near the garden/greenhouse. They also loved the pavilion: the beautiful tables for eating and gathering, the fresh air, and the dancing. Our guests came from all over the U.S. as well as from Mexico and Iceland and everyone had nothing but nice things to say about the farm and the people working that day. Earlier in the day, our wedding party and close family members got ready in the farmhouse and now it's such a special memory of mine. Both of our families have a history of farming (in the Midwest and in Mexico) and Windy Hill Farm felt like the perfect venue to honor our families' varied histories. I remember touring for the first time and noting the lovely Talavera sinks in the bathrooms––an art form from the region in Mexico where my family is from––and feeling even more connected to the place. Windy Hill has so many other unique touches like this one. If you're looking for an outdoor venue owned by a caring family, would like a more personalized wedding with a serene and elegant though understated feel, Windy Hill Farm is the loveliest of places. You're likely to fall in love the moment you see it, just like we did.

I cannot say enough good things about Windy Hill! My husband and I got married here in April and Chiara and her team were absolutely amazing. Chiara was so easy to work with and provided very helpful insight throughout our time planning. The venue itself is stunning and has multiple locations for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The covered pavilion was a beautiful spot for the reception and there was so much ease of mine knowing that had our wedding day been rainy, we would not have to rent an expensive tent. There are great amenities with the venue including wooden tables and chairs that didn’t need linens (another cost saved), heaters and fans, cafe lighting, lawn games, a fire pit, and more. The farmhouse had two spots for getting ready and was very comfortable for the morning of the wedding.
We also particularly love how eco-conscious this venue is, and were so happy that we could compost any leftover greenery and food from the wedding day.
An extra shoutout to one of Windy Hill’s preferred vendors - Mary & Kim of Bull City Blossom Events who provided amazing day of event coordinating services! They were both rockstars who provided SO much hands on support on our wedding day as well as some additional help in the months leading up. Between Chiara, Mary, and Kim, we felt so supported to fully enjoy our day!

Chiara was a joy to work with and the venue is such a gem! Everything there is designed beautifully, so simple and elegant. The renovations to the farmhouse are delightfully tasteful and the antique heirloom pieces make you feel right at home. The reception area is the perfect size and perfectly lit. Our ceremony location out in the field felt so generously spacious. There's literally not a single thing I would've changed! Chiara made the planning process seamless. Her responses were always thoughtful and her presence calming. The breakfast she cooked for us the morning after was divine. If you want an authentic, peaceful wedding experience don't sleep on this venue!

Truly can't say enough good things about Windy Hill and working with Chiara. Not only is it the dreamiest property (we fell in love with it the moment we saw it), but Chiara is the most caring, gentle, helpful person to work with. She had amazing vendor recommendations and so much wedding knowledge that we desperately needed. I couldn't recommend Windy Hill enough. Also, goats!

Windy Hill Farm was the most special, perfect place to have our June 2022 wedding. rom the first moments we stepped foot at Windy Hill in 2020 we knew it would be such a special place to celebrate our love with our community, and with each visit, that feeling grew. That's not just because the farm is beautiful and welcoming (it is!) but also because of how kind and inviting Chiara and her team are. They were wonderful to work with, and their support and care made our day and the whole planning process easy, and smooth, and full of joy. We're so grateful to the kind folks at Windy Hill for cultivating such a warm and heart-filled space and sharing it with others -- can't recommend having your wedding here enough!

Windy Hill was everything and more we could have dreamed of for our wedding. The setting is of course beautiful, but that only scratches the surface: the flexibility and kindness and patience that Chiara and her family gave to you us bride and groom is second to none. Our wedding at Windy Hill couldn't have been more perfect! Chiara is the sweetest and from the very start was super informative and helpful to make sure that our wedding day we going to be perfect. The venue itself is just so beautiful--from the lovely fields and trees, to the awesome pavilion, the twinkling lights, the baby goats, and the cozy farmhouse (and breakfast!) for our wedding night/morning--we were so thrilled to have chosen Windy Hill. We had our wedding in November '21 on a cold, windy day. Chiara--who is one of the sweetest and most thoughtful women I have ever met--did everything possible to ensure our guests stayed warm and comfortable. Chiara and her team set up heaters in the barn, handed out blankets to guests, and kept the fire pits going all evening. The result was a cozy wedding in a spectacularly beautiful place. The natural beauty of the farm provided so many photo opportunities! While planning, I didn't even have to think about too many decorations because the venue was already Picture Perfect. I cannot recommend Windy Hill Farm enough! Chiara truly loves what she does and cared so much about helping us have the best wedding possible.

We are so happy we chose Windy Hill for host our wedding! The property is absolutely enchanting, we fell in love on our first visit. It was the first and only venue we toured and we knew right then and there it was the one.

Chiara took amazing care of us and we cannot thank her enough for her hospitality and kindness during the planning process.
We ended up having to postpone our wedding due to the COVID-19 surges last fall and windy hill was incredibly understanding and patient.
1 month before our original wedding date was going to pass, Chiara reached out to us and offered the farm to us and our immediate family to have a small ceremony on our original wedding date at no additional charge. We were stunned by this incredibly kind gesture and gladly accepted. Windy Hill allowed us to have two weddings for the price of one during one of the scariest and hardest times we have lived through together.

1 Year later, we finally were able to have our big ceremony! We had quite a few bumps in the road including my now husband breaking his leg 1 month before the wedding. Chiara made sure he was comfortable during the day by using the golf cart to help transport him where he needed to go and it all went wonderfully. We stayed in the honeymoon suite that night which was so charming and lovely. Chiara made us the most delicious breakfast that next morning and took great care of us. Frittata, bacon, sourdough, fruit, and coffee...yum. An excellent end to a beautiful weekend!

Chiara is truly one of the kindest souls we've ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with and we HIGHLY recommend Windy Hill to any couples out there who want an outdoor wedding.

I don't have adequate words to describe how incredible our experience with Windy Hill Farm was. I toured just one venue, and the minute I set foot on this property I knew it was the place (you could say it was "love at first sight" :)). We rescheduled our wedding due to the pandemic and the grace, kindness, and compassion that Chiara showed us significantly eased the stress of our decision. The new date we landed on (after much debate, which Chiara patiently talked us through) ended up being perfect. It rained a bit on our wedding date (thankfully held off for the ceremony) and it did not dampen our spirits one bit; in fact, it added to the gorgeous atmosphere. Chiara, Russ, and the rest of the team were incredibly thoughtful, hard-working, and almost prescient in their ability to help facilitate our event. The farm is absolutely gorgeous, including the suite for getting ready. The Windy Hill Farm stewards accommodated all of our requests and appeared unflappable in doing so. The barn is a cozy and gorgeous space for a party, and their dance floor is perfect. The upstairs bar area looks out over the pasture and provides a peaceful and beautiful retreat if a break is needed. And we had a wonderful firepit - I completely forgot that we were even going to have one but they didn't! It was such a delightful surprise to walk over and see the beautiful campfire with our loved ones sitting around it. I'm sure I'm leaving something out because our gratitude and enthusiasm for this spot is endless. Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the GOATS. There were also two-day-old calves present on our day, and a cow that "laughed" at the best man's toast which provided the perfect levity. Needless to say, I HIGHLY recommend booking your "love celebration" (as we called it) here.
