Weddings on Big Island is a wedding officiant company located in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, servicing all of Big Island from Kona to Hilo and everywhere in between. Karen Yarborough is a licensed wedding officiant who has been doing weddings in many capacities for a decade. She believes this is the best way to celebrate a union, with an intimate ceremony on a beautiful beach.

Karen would be honored and happy to officiate your Hawaii Wedding or Vow Renewal. It is her joy to marry couples from all over the world, as well as meet inspiring couples who seek to renew their vows after so many years. With Karen's packages, you do not need to spend a fortune for an unforgettable dream wedding! It is possible to have your special ceremony, photography, videography, and musician for only $1300. Perhaps you prefer a simple, lovely day ceremony with professional photography for only $700, and you'll come away with many incredible photos and memories!

Truly the best!!

Where do I start? First off? Karen & Lev are amazing at what they do! I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. I was so apprehensive about eloping and putting all my trust in someone to do everything for us on our special day and I am soooooo glad I chose to hire Karen and Lev for our ceremony and photography/videography. Everything was perfect and I didn’t have to worry about a thing, and this is a must when planning a destination wedding!! Karen answered all my questions and was very informative about everything which really put my mind at ease. I definitely would recommend them a thousand times over! If you want a someone you can trust with your special day, look no further! Thank you again for truly making our big day special!

The wedding planner's, wedding planner.

My bride to be has planned dozens of weddings in her hospitality career, but for OUR wedding, it was on me. I reached out to a few select vendors and Karen was the only one to respond personally by telephone. After talking with her for a few minutes, it was clear to me that I didn't need to entertain any other providers. She immediately put me at ease.

Wanting a simple wedding ceremony, with only us and our immediately families in attendance, Karen couldn't have been more helpful. After corresponding with me and asking many questions as to our wishes, she recommended the perfect beach venue with concise directions from our hotel right through to the last speed bump. With all that was required to pull this day off, Karen was extremely detailed in all of the procedures.

Karen was our officiant for our ceremony and the inclusions of the Hawaiian traditions was beautiful. We can't wait for our photographs to come in so we can remember this day, always. If you're looking for a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony on the Big Island, let Karen handle it.

Oh, and what did my wedding planning bride think of Weddings on Big Island. Amazing!!

Beautiful memories!

John and I had a beautiful wedding experience with Karen. Karen contacted us shortly after we submitted our request and was able to schedule a ceremony within our short time-frame. She addressed all of the questions we had with friendliness and professionalism and was able to recommend a venue and flowers. Everything came together in such a magical way, John and I could not have been more pleased. The weather cooperated, the beach was gorgeous, the timing was perfect, the ceremony was beautiful. Karen performed the ceremony in a personal way that made us feel so special. Kenny sang and played ukulele and his performance was also personal and so special. We have memories and beautiful photos that will last a lifetime. We feel blessed beyond belief and we are so very thankful to Karen and Kenny. Our wedding ceremony, as simple as it was, was perfect for us! We could not have planned it better if we had spent a year planning! Mahalo for the happiness you have brought us and for being part of our special day.

Kevin guided us to select the options that would suit our needs and expectations. It was a delight to work with him and to select Glen, one of the professional photographers that coordinated with Kevin. We had an amazing day!

The perfect elopement!

My husband and I got married by Kevin early in December and it was the perfect way for us to get eloped and married. We wouldn't have it any other way. He was extremely easy to work with and walked us through what we needed to do before the ceremony. He was also very organized and everything ran smoothly. Kukio was a gorgeous beach and we wouldn't have wanted to get married any other way. Thank you Kevin for making that such a special day for both of us. We loved the leis and the special and symbolic keepsake which we have displayed in our home. We highly recommend Kevin as an officiant.

Our vow renewal

We decided very last minute to do a vow renewal while in Kona celebrating our 1Oth year together. Kevin was super helpful with all the details for our little private ceremony. He made it easy with the location (and directions) as well as flowers and keepsake. He tailored it to what we wanted including reading words that we wrote. It was a very special sunrise celebration 🍾

Perfect Wedding, thank you Kevin

Our wedding was such a joy with Kevin, he made it special and touching. Surprisingly, Derek and I both fought back tears, and Kevin was there for us with kleenex and his comedic timing to keep us smiling. Planning the wedding with Kevin was so straightforward and easy, and he also gave us great suggestions for dinner afterwards and what to do on the island. Highly recommend Kevin for a touching ceremony on a beautiful beach!

We had a wonderful experience! Our ceremony was beautiful and private. Kevin was witty, kind, and made us very comfortable. All of his suggestions and instructions leading up were very helpful. And the photography was brilliant, much better than we had anticipated!
